I don't know why I'm having so much difficulty replacing the save battery in my copy of Pokemon Sapphire. First time soldering, and I've tried three different batteries from two different battery manufacturers, and it's still not working out. I've even tried using an external save editor to restart the RTC after installing the battery, but it's still not clearing the error. I will try and get my hands on a multimeter to make sure all the batteries I bought are still even good, but I'm starting to get worried that I'm really doing something wrong. I do appreciate the tutorial though, it's super helpful! When I do get my multimeter I will be sure to reference it again!

My 3DS XL have this issue after I opened it to fix a trigger issue, Something inside was broken and i had to disconnect the ribbons to glue with UV cement, then when I connected all and the console won’t turned on, I thought something was broken, but after seeing this awesome guide I figured out that the ribbon camera was the problem, so I’ve disconnected it again and it turned on magically, then make the connection again and finally after hours it was working again, I’m so grateful with you!

1:45 You're kidding. I've been trying to get this thing to restart since I was a pre-teen fixing my childhood mistakes...and I just gave my 3DS mouth to microphone CPR and it WORKED

I purchased Game Boy DMG on eBay by mistake and I want to make sure that any saves I have on it don't get screwed up or lost. I was duped so I want to fix the cart, does this work on Game Boy games as well or can you do a video on GameBoy game bootleg battery

How did you get the desolder braid to take off any solder? I was able to make it work but the desolder braid just ended up sticking to the old solder lol

I’ve had a 3ds xl since 2013,2014?.It was given to me for Christmas, from my parents - I can’t part with it. The thing is I’ve wanted to change the blue/black case shell to a matte black with a clear case protecter. The mistake I’ve made is when I’ve tried to get the ribbon wire out through the upper shell cause I didn’t know how delicate it was so now I’m needing a upper screen and someone who knows how to put the piece’s back together. Hi, I'm learning to fix Nintendo 3DS and a friend gave me his to fix, he said that one day the console didn't turn on and his dad opened it to check the board (it's a new nintendo 3ds xl) for the ones who knows the new nintendo 3ds xl has 2 parts in the motherboard and its conected by a flex cable, his dad disconnected the cable that joins the 2 parts and i think that was the problem. someone knows how can i fix it? i looked up like 1000 times in google and i cant find nothing.

Something similar to this happened years ago. I used to buy, repair ds lite consoles as a hobby and side gig. Once they're fixed, i would sell them on ebay. During my first time reshelling a pink ds lite into a aftermarket dialga and palkia shell. I was struggling with the wi-fi antenna cable. If you know, you know. So i was frustrated and gave up on the wi-fi cable and just carried on with reshelling. Once i was done i tried turning it on and it wouldn't. I dont remember if there was some specific xolor light to indicate that it couldn't turn on. I wasted a whole day takong it apart and putting it back to see if it would be fixed. At the end i said screw it and i tried installing the cable back on, because at that point i thought that if it didnt work, then i could practice reinserting that damn wi-fi cable. After like 10 tries i managed to do it and put it back together and out of habit i just activated the power slidr and it turned on! I was so happy that it worked now and then i put 2 and 2 together and figured it was my mistake with the cablw not being installed that caused it to not turn on. I looked it up onling after that and saw something about if the system doesnt detect all components, then it doesn't turn on to avoid damage. 😂 fucking wi-fi cable.

Mine turned on on the second step!ty very much saved me going to a repaiman for them to demend an eye and a leg to take the sd off clean it and place it back on 😂

I have a Retro Freak and you can transfer your saves to a file, I also resoldered my batteries on all my carts to removable holders so you can easily swap the batteries in the future in seconds which I have had success not loosing save dats when I swapped the batteries.
