Where to buy the mounting station with X, Y, Z axis movement for Nanoscan?

I got a MKS Ophir Centauri with a BeamTrack sensor, and it's incredibly accurate. The Centauri display is impressive, the software is well-designed, and it's compatible with a wide range of sensors, making it useful not just for lasers but also for LEDs. I'm very satisfied with this purchase. I'm just a science enthusiast, not a business, and MKS welcomed my purchase, even though some companies only sell to enterprises. MKS and Ophir were great with me 👍👍👍 I highly recommend it and will be posting a lot of content about the Centauri in the future. This video is excellent 👌

Wish this could measure 5 ns 1064 nm (at 2.5 watts average power) from a laser reported to produce 15 to 18 kw peak power. The pulse power is under 100 uJ, but your meter won't allow selecting that high of a peak power :(

@JAKOB1977 Жыл бұрын
you should implement a spectrometer, with an ofset to the sensorhead that would calibrate the unit to the corresponding wavelength, so it aint a end-user aspect.

That should be a physical item. If the beam is on and in the cross, it should show the Gaussian beam.

just solder 2x 1n34a rf diodes together like an av plug and insert into a dso 150 hand held scope set to monitor rf waves in the air then hit the diodes with a red or green laser and watch the strange behaviour of the waveform thats sensitive

hi, which oneof theses equipment will be use to determine wavelength of red laser beam?
@variaphora Жыл бұрын
I don't think any of these profilers can be used to determine the laser wavelength. You need a spectrometer to determine wavelength, and if you also need to know intensity or power, you will need a spectroradiometer.

So how does say 1W of light energy translate into traditional wattage ratings? It seems that LEDs are rated by vf x I. An LED sold as say a "10W" will average 10V @ 1A consumed power and outputs approx 1.5W peak light output. How does this compare to traditional wattage ratings of 40W 60W or 100W?
@ophirspiricon4 жыл бұрын
Hi there, One way to compare light sources is called 'Efficacy' and it is measured in Lumen per Watt, i.e the amount of light generated as perceived by the human eye (measured in Lumens) divided by the electrical power consumption (measured in Watts). The efficacy of an incandescent bulbs is around 15Lumen/Watt white that of LEDs can be around 100Lumen/Watt or more. Please feel free to contact us again in the future.

Thanks a lot! I needed this and now I understood the basic concept! Could you say that a lock-in amplifier is the same as a preamplifier, just combined with an algorithm (the integration over the product of chopper signal and detector signal) ?
@babotvoj4 жыл бұрын
The working principle of lock in is that you multiply it by the same frequency the signal is modulated with. It can be a square or sine or something else, so that the result contains a square of the sine the signal is modulated with. By lowpass filtering you get the signal divided by 2. Its basically the same principle of quadrature modulation/demodulation. Search in Google quadrat modulation/demodulation things will get clear.

Informative. Do you guys have anything that will measure the true pulse width of a picosecond laser? I'll get on your website and email you as well.
@femtoeasy35864 жыл бұрын
Hi Jim, for such ultrashort pulse laser (picosecond or even femtosecond), where even the fastest photodiodes and associated electronics would be too slow, you would need an autocorrelator. You might want to check the innovative autocorrelators we have developed here at Femto Easy : www.femtoeasy.eu/products/roc/roc.php
