I saw this bike in Torun and something like this is what i have dreamed of doing and a year ago we opened my dads storage container from 35 years ago containing a couple brand new barum rears and a brand new Pirelli MT 26 with the side stem as well

Hi Bill, it was vapour blasted to keep it looking good. Stored in my office so it’s always a nice temp. Running on fully synthetic oil now and started once a year on my dads birthday (22nd dec) to make sure it’s all runs ok. Thanks for the comment

Does this run off of alcohol or nitromethane and what kind of horse power do these make ?
@ashtechltd
@ashtechltd 3 жыл бұрын
Hi Pete, they run on methanol and the newer version of this bike makes about 76hp on the crank, this one had about 60hp. Thanks Ash

21mm ? Better check again, more like 26.50 mm

If yours are 26.5 mm they are wrong and need to be adjusted.

@@ashtechltd 21mm gets the fuel level at the top of the carb inlet. I've ran 25.75mm~26.75mm on a blixt for 3 yrs and it works for me. Wonder whats different between yours and mine ?

This is just something else i loved watching Peter Nahlin, Leigh Adams, and Andrew Silver around Swindon on their GR 500 bikes. I'm sure Malc rode a bike in the meeting after Jimmy and Brian had a fall out about 91 i think! It was after the meeting had finished?

Wow, absolutely stunning bike mate, and it runs as well, awesome. I’d be curious to know a ballpark figure on the cost of the project. Would love something like this myself. Always loved the period from about mid 70s to mid 90s. Again, great job.

Thanks a lot for the comment. I was lucky I picked up the complete bike quite cheap in today’s market, was €1200. But it cost another €3000 roughly with all the parts, polishing so between €4000-4500 it costs me I would say. Expensive but worth it 👍🏻

Hi Ash, might you be willing to do a video about jet selection and blixt tuning? Being in NC, USA away from the world after I made the jump over to it, I find this carb to be a pain in my butt and went back to my Bz.
@chrispynov1963
@chrispynov1963 3 жыл бұрын
Jacek, Assuming its clean and your floats are set, start out with a 220 main, but it also depends on ambient temp and elevation. Did you run a Blixt in auburn ? As far as tuning, ask steve wells, he knows which direction is rich or lean on the little 2 mm or 2.5 mm allen head on the right side, i forgot. Chris P
