This would have been so much better released on the LA album instead of the long disco track included. If ever there was a song released on a 12inch single in the late seventies this should have been it.

Excellent arrangement, so kind of you to post! My first music was Beach Boys 8 tracks when I was 5. I came to dislike them as a teenager because of how they're obviously nothing but empty pop rock. Now in my 40's after learning a whole lot about life but more importantly a deeper understanding of music, I see the imaginative and technical genius I couldn't see as a child.

Great live band, they always sold out venues, but didn't do great sales vinyl wise, those days when gigs lost money and were to promote the new record release. Now it's the other way around. Bands like this made the depressing 70's exciting. The bootleggers got they money out of this. I had the cassette/LP and now the CD.

I wouldn't nitpick like this, but it looks like you're interested in actually fixing this. So, when the vocals finally come in, the edit there is like a stumble. It takes us right out of the rhythm. I think you're trying to link the vocal entry to a downbeat, but the vocal is actually coming in ahead of the downbeat.

My big brother was attending this gig, we are from Roma, and he spoke about the greatness of especially this song for years. The lyrics are different from the official LP, the playing of Dave and Rick is both different and better. 1971, I was only 7....such a period❤

To think the multitrack master tapes of the vocals are missing all these years..either thrown away or recorded over..90 hours of session tapes exist for this tune. Brian Wilson goes Supernova with this one.

Mind blown. Heard this for first time in 20 years and was thinking how unreal complete it was for a 3 minute pop song and that it probably inspired all the prob rock that followed. I thought holy shit this one song could’ve been an entire album. Well, guess I was on to something.
