my Ranking For reference, sacred pool was the first expansion i bought, after that, I bought every expansion as they came out in order from reaper to cataclysm (and the tiny expansions after that). I think the sacred pool and frostmarch are underrated. 12. Dragon Te only added board is a new inner reagion which isn't better than the original one. The new dragon token mini game is tedios and many of the characters a meant to be played with the expansion making them less usefull outside of it. Dragon is the expansion I choose to play with the least. 11. Harbinger Its fun ti bring to the table every now and then but not that fun. 10. Blood moon This is an ambitious expansion with the highest amount of adventure cards made for it. But i don't like the day and night mechanic. 9. City The game suddenly becomes all about finding gold and then buying the best gear which isn't adventerous and epic imo. The city adventure chards aren't intersting enough and I wish going in to the city had more value than just for shoppin.g 8. Cataclysm Relly fun concept to play every once in a while. The benefits of the chapel, graveyard, city, tavern and village are gone though and the dezine system replaces it. I'm ok the with the denizen system. It's a cool mechanic. But I prefer knowing I have the ability to heal at place when the game starts instead of hoping the show up later on. 7. Firelands Too much fire and loss of life, too much destruction. Not worth it. Characters are ok. 6. Frostmarch Frostmarch: I like the characters although minion characters like ogre chieftain and necromancer are pretty bad since trophies are allways more worth it unless you plan to cheese the lord of darkness to get an insta teleport to the crown of command but we usually house rule that possibility out of existance. But the extra 30 quests, warlock and leprichaun are well worth it. plus some nice spells and adventure cards. frostmarch adventure cards have a lot of weak enemies that feel unnecessary but there is a nice ice elememt to most of the chards. 5. Woodlands I do not like the light and dark fate mechanic. I allways pick light fate. The thing with talisman is that it is very random, and the only power yuo do have is to make choices. Choices that has the highest chance of granting something good. Fate increases thouse chances. I would never prioritize my enemies bad luck instead of my own good luck. I allways take light fate and so does everyone else I know. So the aspects of the game that grant your dark fate feels like I just have a fate I can't use in my "fate value inventory". Also, the whole board it self is extremely randome and a lot of the chards are chaotic and put you in positions you can't do anything about. That said. It has a very nice theme and the characters are the best the game has every produced. Laywalker is my absolute favorite characters in the ganme. 4. Dungeon Feels very classic. It's nice to have a region to enter when you feel a bit stronger and just want to find enemies to fight and get stronger. The lord of darkness and his treasure cards are a cool edition although we usually nerf the reward so you can't get teleported to the crown of command immidiatly if you beat him too hard. Characters are ok. 3. Sacred Pool first expansion that gives you the ability to change allignment to neutral, it adds the quest reward mechanic which is amazing and I never play without them, it introduces the stable before the city expansion does it plus all 4 characters are a great addition to the game. A lot of the adventure cards has a theme on alighment which i think is a cool theme and I just think its a cool expansion. Once I bought it, I never thought that I wished I had bought something else. 2. Reaper The only expansion where the cards are completely unthemed and its just a raw expansion with more talisman in it. The character art is horrendous but nice to play. Sage is way too OP though imo. 1. Highlands Just a nice place to bee. Not too dangarous not too kind. some of the unforgiving aspects of talisman feel milder in this region without making it boring or feel like a day care. and I adore the characters.

For me I played very few bad 2024 games, but Bardwood grove was my #1 disappointing and #1 bad game, I really thought it looked cool, its rubbish. The worst game I was introduced to was Cloudspire, what a horrific piece of garbage that game is, extremely boring and annoying.

Fateforge was my #1 of the year, Nova Roma brilliant, also loved Cities. Looking forward to playing Arcs, SETI, Unconscious Mind, Salt fjord and Windmill Valley. 7 wonders duel 🤮

My critique about how you judged "messy eater" and some other categories: it doesn't make sense to say "I've never played with people like that, so I'm gonna give it a lower level in the ranking". All behaviors should be evaluated from a objective reality perspective. Just imagine if someone says: "cheating is totally tolerable because in my playing group nobody cheats".

I recently started playing on a new group and there is a very active cheater. It's quite interesting because, I thought it would be rage quit, but I actually don't really find it more than mildly annoying. I just ignore that person's score at the end of the game and second place wins. It's still annoying because some games just cannot be played, but those are pretty rare.

I would love to get this game but i just cant get skirmish games to the table. None of my friends like PvP skirmish games and skirmish games are hard, because if u play all the time and try teach one of your friends, they basically have no chance of winning because you have the experience on the game and know the tactics ect

Removal of the two stage attack sequence (to hit and then to wound) is only nice on the paper. Seems like it’s streamlining but in reality it is removing crucial part of strategy, is dumbing down the game and simply removing a crucial psychological component of the staged attack. Just roll to wound is a crappy solution no one asked for. As well as removing trauma decks - this game is like castrated ATO, it is more like Oathsworn 1.5 than ATO 3.0. And Oathsworn was a bullshit game already, so going that way is just like a spit in the face of gamers. That’s how I feel about it.

I cant wait for Enormity, im all-in also. Did you remember to perform the signature at the start & Nuclear at the end, of every Boss turn? ITU have said, the noise mechanic will be used in different mechanical ways in different boss fights and some boss fights will contain blips & minions in them also. This game has sooooo much potential!!! The last mission is fun with the upgraded gear you get to choose from and the options it opens up... just be careful of those infections!! Cant wait to watch your playthrough and see how u go 👌

For me, clearly the game of the year and my #1 dungeon crawler of all time easy, just feels like a classic fantasy adventure. I completely agree that is solves the cumbersome nature of other games and the story is more interactive and feels more genuine. Thanks for covering, the designer obviously punched Jesus, because no other channel is covering this game, strange.

I didnt back this, but i did back the new, Seeds Of Rebellion campaign, it looks sooo much better, havimg the campaign, flipbook boards, stealth meter, looks like a whole different game and they have learnt some lessons. Did u back the new one? I think SFG are learning, i love the latest Resident Evil game theu released, that was a fun tough campaign, so im hoping the new Horizon and Elden Ring games will be good, with the lessons they have learnt 🤞

Wherle games are specific . Root was only game which landed well. Most infuriating experience so far was Pax Pamir- 3 hours of tag war with 0 points scored by 3 out of 5 players

just played few games -indeed every time you need to invent some way to score points. May be cards you have will be not about movement but trade options are great or fighting. I like it more then Res Arcana -somewhat similar idea of creating winning combo from fixed amount of cards given at start. Res Arcana is more balanced but balancing such games washes away combo opportunities and makes it a bit bland

I don't like AR's games, I don't like campaign games, and I don't like "stealth" games, but I really enjoyed Stalker.

I loved nature incarna. I almost exclusivly play spirits from it at this point. Wounded waters and breath of darkness are my 2 favorites.

Cyberpunk tabletop RPGs typically run into the same problem as Metrorunner with their hacking systems. One person at the table actually plays while all the other players sit around watching. It's an element of the fiction that seems to be difficult to adapt to a multiplayer game.
