Scary stuff, Dams always scare me. My buddy almost tipped our boat once near a reservoir dam, he was doing donuts near the "waterfall" water was flowing downward under the concrete barrier. Alcohol and boats don't mix 😂

We can smoothly catch a rocket from space but we can’t figure out how to install a safety grid that lasts more than 2-3 months?
@francishermans7589 сағат бұрын
Grids are not made to prevent divers to get sucked but to protect the turbines from damage.

in the video its explained like they were diving into the intake tunnel and the tunnel is 4.5meters in diameter... and they didnt realise that?

In the end run how much of a tragedy is it when the divers broke the law by going deeper than 20 meters. No pun intended but sucks to be them

I am confused this sounds harsh but if this oven was as hot as it was you would think they be able to tell before they even got inside it was too hot from the radiant heat, for me it feels these 2 were just dumb guess darwin award goes to those two

They have done suicide by knowing everything.
@JBinthesticks18 сағат бұрын
The turbines were not "switched on". They do not create suction. A gate is opened and pressure created by gravity causes water to flow down the tunnel to then rotate the turbine to generate electricity. A big difference.
@CarbonRobloxide11 сағат бұрын
Incorrect, the force actually creates a siphon.

I mean it was stupid from them but i think there are still measures that could be taken to make it even less likely considering having nearby diving schools etc. They should use an under&overwater alarm system 30seconds or a minute before the turbines start, or even a system that scans for large biological objects inside the tunnel and shut it down automatically.

Can some one let us know if the survivor sued and if the dead's family sued and if they were awarded money ?? That last part is some of the most horrific things to hear. If any jury anywhere heard that and understood that the company did not do what it was supposed to to protect these men......they would be awarded. Although since the government owned this company I am sure same as any government they probably didn't have to pay anyone anything or even apologize. That man probably has severe PTSD. What an angel of a human. Jesus those first two guys probably had their foot and leg BENT IN AS THEY WERE PULLED. IT WAS PROBABLY NOT JUST BROKEN IT WAS PROBABLY INSANELY DAMAGED . THEIE BODIES WERE SUCKED IN AT A RATE THAT WOULD HAVE FORCED ANY BODY PART TO BEND IN ANY WAY AS THEY WENT THROUGH. the world is a horrible place.

It's controlled from afar, so if there is demand for additional electricity the turbine is switched on. No bad intentions.
