Its was Roman Catholic Church stolen by Oliver Cromwell and Henry Vlll.
@user-lv5bt3nt3r9 күн бұрын
Nope. Built by the kings of England. Monks were allowed there but their order ceased to be recognised and was dissolved under Henry viii. Perfectly lawful. No theft involved. A number of the former catholic monks stayed on as protestants.

It is not owned by the Royal Family. It is part of the Church of England, but the Dean is responsible directly to the monarch not the Archbishop of Canterbury.

It’s a wonderful place to visit! And to think it was an ancient Roman villa before it was a castle is pretty cool as well. The only thing I didn’t love was the caged birds out back. I feel bad for any living thing devoid of freedom. You will love it here I promise!

@@user-lv5bt3nt3r I see, so if I give you something, can I come back at any point and take it back because I paid for it? The twists in logic that people make amaze me.
