As much I hated Empress Fuca both she and Empress Dowager did make a valid point. Those in power have to fight to stay in power. I think things would have turned out differently, if she’d let Halian do the dirty work/scheming on her behalf. Halian was a force to be reckoned with when left to her own devices . 😅

Actually, anything indoors is done on set, while the actual outside locations, is done on an actual replica palace of the Forbidden City. Meaning: anything within walking in the corridors to the other palace, real thing. Beside their on locations place they have to go.

I think ,any of us being women only side with the women in the harem but really thinking about it no wonder the Emperor went crazy as he got older, so many plotting and trying to rise up in status with his concubines harming one anothers children, they're also the emperor's children, it doesn't excuse his behaviour but makes sense on why he got increasingly more short tempered.

Had the story ended with Ruyi's ascencion as Empress, then her happiness as Qingying with her Hongli would have been perfect. Breaks my heart knowing what happens next. She deserved the world. I am glad Hongli came to regret how he treated her, although it was much too late to make amends for that.

Ah, nothing like snorting heroine to promote clear thinking and level moods. Really creates positive vibes for relationships. 😂 Hes a paranoid, aggressive maniac....hes sniffing heroine in scenes while fighting with everyone who is scheming.
