incredible! Glory to God! I have never seen the Trinity Icon portrayed with Abraham and Sarah, but just the 3 angels. Is this inside the altar? It looks like the preparations for a holy table are being made. Stunning. Lord have mercy on us

Explain what you mean by “Holy Trinity Icon”? One of the three men that visited Abraham was God the Son, and the two weren’t the Father and the Holy Spirit, they were two created angels, so how come is this called “Holy Trinity Icon”? The appropriate name would be “Hospitality of Abraham Icon”.

The Angels Represent the Trinity. The Chief Angel in the Story is the Icon of the Father Himself, the Preincarnate Christ, the Angel of the Lord.

As an OCA parishioner I was curious why you are celebrating the Liturgy with the festal antiphons instead of the usual psalms and beatitudes? I know ROCOR is on the Julian Calendar and hasn’t celebrated Nativity yet so I’m curious if this is because of the forefeast or because of the prophet Daniel and the 3 youths

Those were not the festival antiphons, but the daily antiphons which are used at the lower ranking services. You will see them printed in the book of the hours by holy Trinity monastery. Rdr Nicholas

I am an Ethiopian orthodox living in Canada. I would love for this church to be completed and hopefully one day God willing, I’ll be blessed to visit it. We all have to help out with what we can so it can be completed and furnished with the beauty it deserves. I came across the KZbin channel by chance and I love the prayer services from this monastery. It’s absolutely beautiful and the melodies reminds me of the Ethiopian Orthodox traditional hymns and prayers I grew up with so I feel at home listening to them. The only notable difference is this is in English while the Ethiopian orthodox services are mostly in Ge’ez, the ancient liturgical language of the church. God bless orthodoxy and may she prosper in his glory❤
