I wanted Rally Armor but couldn’t stomach the 250 plus for them. I went with RokBloks and they look awesome. Install Is similar but you do have to drill some quarter inch holes in the rear which wasn’t a big deal at all

the thing that is bad with making the bike to where you can flat foot it more so for a beginning rider is that putting your foot down becomes a crutch and bad habit instead of learning to ride without the need of putting your foot down. every time you put a foot down while moving is a chance to blow out a knee

Great video and very informative. Thank you for sharing! One critique though…you said “$6/day is a bit pricey” to run them. Okay, go back to shoveling all that snow for hours and save your $6 😂 Oh, the $6 isn’t bad considering that alternative? Sometimes I really wonder what, if anything, people are thinking when they say something like “$6/day is a bit pricey” when talking about the cost of running something like this. C’mon, man 😅

Its all relative....keep in mind that here in Iowa (Land of wind energy), electricity is cheap. Roughly 0.12 per watt/hour. Elsewhere, that may be really an expensive option

Doesnt leak a drop, runs like a top, & people go out of their way to tell me what a cool car it is. Compression still good, normally aspirated non turbo When the engine begins to go (witch may takr forever i will rebuild it & add a turbo. Best handleing car i have ever owned & i have owned q4 different cars in my life. This one TPPS my fav list. Purchase price $5850. Not a dimes worth of repairs on the engine since i purchased it.

Maybe someone tilting their seat isn’t such a big disturbance in premium economy? More space and I think all the trays is in the armrest in that section. I usually do like you and prefer the bulkhead seats but maybe there’s not as much to gain from doing so in premium compared to regular economy?
@Springtailsolutions27 күн бұрын
I did sit in a regular premium economy seat as well on the trip...the extra recline of the person in front of me was a bit intrusive. Bulkhead is definitely the way to go.

Great video. Also your first ride video. So did your lowered kit come from Beta factory installed or did Cycle Tech install it? No bottoming issues or compromise between the standard Beta 390 RS suspension? Is it still Sachs suspension front and rear? That looked like class IV terrain. Nice riding.

Nice bike. Your bike looks to be an early 1974 model 981.5. These were, and are, often confused with the later Falta replicas because of the red frame. CZ carried this style 400 into the 1975 model year, they advertised it as the MX Desert model. It was even more confusing in 1974½ / 1975 because the Desert MX model had the Falta engine and even had the same VIN sequence as the Falta replica, but lacked the Falta suspension and other tidbits. It was priced about $200-250 less than the Falta.

Once you got rid of the points ignition and Jakov carb, they were extremely reliable. That bike was called the Falta replica, I got one just like that for graduation in '74.
