CONGRATULATIONS 🎊 👏 ON 3K the free agency I like is 1- Thomas Tatar 2 Tyler Toffoli These Two were Former 67's and a perfect fit for the bottom core and they can be moved around in the lineup, and they have great playoff success and great for power plays and penalty kill and they have amazing speed, only downside is how many players they have right now

We need a Deslauriers or an Olivier. Hell, I'd even take MacDermid, seeing as he played for Green in the past. Doesn't mean they have to play every night, but they're available when we need them. Ottawa has always played their best when they've had a heavy weight (McGratten, Neiler, Carkner, Kassian).

We need a legitimate fighter, not another pest like Greig or Perron, or to bring in a Nick Cousins type player. We need someone who will answer the bell when it starts getting heated to take some pressure of our captain. You can have all the "gritty" pests you want, but if they can't fight or intimidate the other teams, theyre all just going to get pushed around, then Brady will have to finally answer the bell for them. I have respect for Watson and MacEwan and Kastelic, but we need a tough guy who can actually win a fight and help our stars play more comfortably.

I agree Kylington is a good choice because of his ability to play both sides. Means that you don't necessarily need to promote Kleven or JBD to the top 4 when there's an injury. Though i still think shattenkirk or Schultz would be better. Kylington might conceivably be cheap enough that they could carry 8 D on their roster though. I think 4C is going to be filled either by Ostapchuk or Jenik. Staios once called Jenik the best player in the OHL so we know he likes him. Johnson would be great top 9 injury insurance, but i don't think they can afford him. According to both evolving hockey and hockey viz Cousins has actually been kinda bad the past two years, he has just benefited from playing on one of the NHL's best teams so i would pass on him.

We have enough pests on the team. Cousins is a rat and can't fight. We need a more physical player who will take the pressure off Brady, who we need on the ice!

Nick Cousins would be great at near league minimum. Agitator who can play the PK, win faceoffs, doesn’t get caved in… and most of all has the clutch genes (scores lots of big goals). Would be a huge fan if we signed him!

I don’t expect him to make the team but he’ll be pushing. He plays the style of a fourth line grinder so you never know. I think they start him in Belleville next year though and pray he stays healthy.

Staios really getting rid of the ghost of the Dorian past. I think Roby will be decent in Edmonton…not expecting very much from either players we got. I understand the Mando trade because with him, we had 6 goaltenders for 4 spots. Just hope we don’t have a season like a couple seasons ago when we went through like 8 or something like that. Absolutely thrilled with Mads resigning. The term is very well thought out. Will be sad to see Forsberg go but maybe we can trade him around trade deadline to get something in return. If the Sens are still in the hunt for a playoff spot, trade for an active player for him. If they aren’t, trade for a prospect and/or a draft pick. Lots of options here. I figured Staios had some type of plan and it’s all starting to make sense. Great video and insight kid!

From listening to Edm reaction/news, Ottawa got a small C who has regressed and gave up a player who was a prospect on the rise. The G it’s just sad, Ottawa has not had a G rise through the system since…?

Let me know! 👇UPDATE: Kevin Mandolese has just been dealt to the Colorado Avalanche for a 6th rounder...Don’t even bother looking at the return, this is to give Kevin Mandolese an opportunity to have a shot at the NHL after what was an extremely crowded goaltending depth chart here in Ottawa/Belleville. Good on Staios for doing the right thing and moving Mando instead of burying him in the ECHL. Best of luck to Mando in his next chapter!

He`s a Bruin now. He is really good on face-offs and his plus/min. is consistently very good. Still only 23 years old. Think he will be a VERY good 4 liner.

Staios , acquiring a good balance of what is needed to equip this team with the grit , defense ,& experience added on offense (now,,Pinto should be very happy ,after gambling blunder - time to make up for lost time with.. results ! ) Ullmark ,along with a sound and consistent D squad ,will close out games ahead. New coach , new winning culture - they've seen what it takes, to aim for and seize the cup .Brady will come with more poise and quietly lead . The bar is raised - time to execute gentlemen !

My only concern with Amadio is if the production in Vegas can translate here. Hes played like a $2.6M player but can he do it somehwere else and not just in a solid Vegas system. Perron could get us 40-50 points (and if hes on the third line thats fantastic), and Ullmark just needs to make saves (which hes an upgrade over Korpisalo). I feel like they should do whatever they can to get out of the Norris contract, give the 2C to Pinto and spread out our depth even more and even better. I seriously keep telling myself if Chabot and Zub in some kind of package be swapped for Weegar and Andersson? I think those two are significant upgrades and can play much better consistently. Not to mention Calgary is going to be an absolute shitshow this year. What do you think Brandon?

I wouldn’t do that personally, older players on similar contracts… role with what ya got and trust the process. Amadio is such a solid Swiss Army knife that I think he’ll succeed purely because he’s gonna excel in his defensive assignments… decent point production is just the cherry on top in my opinion!
