I had never listened to or gotten into any prog/prog metal before finding CH and i couldn't be more happy to have been introduced to them with charcoal grace. It's absolutely in my top 10 albums of all time, I simply cannot get enough of it. CH have just an incredible sound and I'm never disappointed with any new (to me) song i hear. Solid points and I couldn't agree more with your sentiments in this video :)

The spirit of heavy Metal has reappeared in the eyes of the whole world with GOJIRA at the Olympic Games 2024. Thanks to this french group and to their unique performance which has embellished and revived this music. Their staging will remain anchored in the memory of those who love the Metal and in that of the Olympic Games. A big thank you also to FRANCE who had the audacity to have a Metal band play for the opening ceremony of the Olympic Games. (Google Translation)

Love is Not Enough was great for the scene and shockingly real, I was upset when they broke up because it was sad to think we would never get more, and when I heard they got back together I knew their music would be as passionate and beautiful as always!

The building is called the conciergerie, during the revolution there were 17,000 heads cut off between 1693 and 1794, we call it the Great Terror. it was the end of the monarchy, a lot of blood and death

Jacob, I didn't know what to call it until now, but what you called the "bend riff" ... well, ok, first I need to say I appreciate how you commented on EVERY aspect of this performance, because it was great for many reasons which made the whole greater than the sum of its parts, and you pretty much hit on all of them ... all of the things that made it one of the greatest moments in the 50 or so years of metal history. I don't think that's an exaggeration, given the platform and viewership. But back to the bend riff ...when I first heard that in a clip and with the sound quality it deserved ... oh my god, I mean it's as if Godzilla rose from the river, 1000 feet high, and crushing everything beneath in an apocalyptic fantasy. To me, it was that huge. And I was glad to hear you theorize why it indeed sounded that way. Man... I've listened to/watched this more than 30 times in the past 3 days and can't get enough of it!
