Excellent video. Thank you. I have a question though. I have always wondered after selecting the point of maximum curvature, how do you determine the tangential line. There is some subjectivity to how that line is drawn. To further complicate matters, its not always clear where the point of maximum curvature is, the inflexion point is not always clear as it is sometimes circular and therefore difficult to determine the maximum curvature point. The ASTM standard (I believe Using Method A) translates a tangential line PARALLEL to the Rebound curve Cs line, and where it touches the Consolidation curve, that is the point of maximum curvature. It still does not give a method for determining the angle at which the tangential line is dran, as I said it is somewhat subjective and its to be 'eye-balled'. Do you have a suggestion (mathematical, or otherwise) to draw the tangential line? Thank you.

This is not the correct calculation for the D60 etc. as the curve is non-linear. Trending is not properly curve fitted.
