But I believe the depth of footing should depend on the value of Nc, why using the assum depth of footing to correlate with SPT N value sir?

Obviously nope. Load transfer mechanism is different,piles for example do mobilise their capacities thru skin friction. Moreover, these formulae by Terzaghi et al apply for shallow footings only.
