Oh David, how lovely is your voice! Very much enjoyed this video this morning.Speaking of voices, I think it is worth noting how nice , calm and serene Marks narration of these video is - it really adds to the enjoyment of listening to these. FYI - Low Impact does not mean "not difficult" or "easy"., But, rather it means that the exercises do not place a lot of stress on your joints, thus the use of the bungees. I had to slow the video to .25% speed to see the team name - Loved it! Looking forward to your Malaga video. Enjoy guys!!!

Sorry, but this whole “Virgin gave us this cruise for free but we’re completely unbiased” is complete BS. It’s implied by Virgin that if you want to keep getting free cruises, you’ll be very positive. They don’t have to say it explicitly. So when you’re making those editing decisions, it would be impossible not to say “Well, maybe we’ll leave that bit out” and rationalize any negatives away. I’m not talking about minor things like “my vegetables were a bit cold”, I’m talking about true negatives like the fact there is no forward facing area with ocean views (it’s all blocked by seating and dark tinted glass) even after the refurbishment, or that much of the seating, while fashionable, is extremely uncomfortable, etc.

Of course you’re entitled to that opinion but all we can say, as the people making the content, is that we disagree and we are completely honest in all of our reviews. Interestingly, Virgin explicitly told us to be true to ourselves and be authentic. If we ever got offered a cruise but the cruise line tried to censor what we could say, we wouldn’t take it. If you watch the video where we talk about the changes on Scarlet Lady, we are quite critical of some things, such as the private cabanas being too expensive, the ship looking a bit unfinished etc. It might just be that things you see as big downfalls, we don’t. For example your comment about no forward facing areas with sea views didn’t even register with us as we prefer to look over the wake, where there are plenty of views. But it’s up to you whether you believe that or not. If you don’t, then we wish you luck on your search for a channel that aligns with what you’re after :)

Hey David & Mark! Finally found the time to enjoy another visit with you! It's so nice to sit back and relax on board with you two! We are sailing on Scarlet Lady in September from Portsmouth to Portugal, Morocco and Thpain where I hope to enjoy a servetha or two (cerveza....beer for those who don't know what I'm on about). Really enjoyed the content and the manner of presentation in your video. You both are utterly charming, eloquent and very intelligent blokes with a great sense of humour to boot! Taking us through your dining experience was like being there and tasting the food. Really appreciated your honesty too. Such detail and showing you savour the foods was entirely enjoyable to watch. Another fantastic video! Great to see VV is taking care of you guys… Your videos were among the first I found last year when deciding to try Virgin (and were my favorites 😉). Those vids definitely helped convince me to book our first voyage in October 2024… Now the hubby and I are anxiously awaiting our next VV on Scarlet Lady in just 11 days. Thank you! Virgin would be a great cruise to start on! The only risk is that it spoils you and you’ll never want to cruise with any other line 😂. For a first cruise, we’d probably recommend summer. The ships have a lot of great outdoor space, so more likely to be able to get the full experience in nicer weather months. I don’t know if there’s any particular ’time’ when seas are at their calmest, but in 7 cruises (at all times of the year), we’ve had less than a hand full of days where the sea has been a little more rocky. So nothing to worry about.

Hey! Thanks so much for watching, glad you enjoyed it! Scarlet was the first of the fleet, and whilst she’s only 4 years old, she went in to dry dock late last year for general routine maintenance and whilst there they used the opportunity to switch things up slightly 🥳

Yes we are Deep Blue Extras. The early embarkation, free premium WiFi, daily coffees and laundry have defo served us well in the past! We didn’t get the benefits on this latest voyage (with it being gifted), and we absolutely missed it 😂

Yes absolutely, they’ll collect the mega rockstars first and board them, and then Rockstars, DBE, and Splash of romance after. Technically they’re supposed to board in that order, but we’ve known them call them all at the same time. So worth hanging around early. Ignore the boarding time in your app, the splash of romance time overrides that. Which July sailing are you on?

Just started cruising in 2023 (solo traveler at 69 on Celebrity Solstice to Alaska!!!) and I fell in love with cruising! The 2nd and 3rd were also Celebrity (Equinox and Beyond - President’s Cruise). I am doing TA from San Juan to Barcelona this April on Resilient Lady! First VV but have taken two other cruises, one 33 days on Princess and a TA on MSC for 22 days! Your PJs look like “where’s Waldo”! Any suggestions for my first solo VV cruise! I booked a little late and my excursions I wanted were already sold out. Not a HUGE a deal!

Fabulous!!! That’ll be a great sailing! Firstly we’d say find the Facebook group specific for your sailing if you haven’t already, then you can start chatting to people (and find other solo travellers before you go). Look out for solo meet ups, onboard. If you like a drink, book onto the grog walk (great way to meet people), they’ll run that on the first night (but sometimes periodically through the voyage too). But mainly, relax!! The longer sailings offer a great relaxed atmosphere in between the livelier events (Scartlet night etc). 🤗

Our first night tradition has been dinner at Extra Virgin. The first day I tend to be a bit more prone to seasickness and Extra Virgin has all the right (yummy) food, and lack of view to the waves outside, for this to be a perfect setting.
