I followed your directions and got the animated single vertex version working using Cloth. I then tried it with Soft Body, but so far it has not worked. Have your tried this method with Soft Body? Thanks, Mike

This is a VERY informative rigging video. Even with weight painting, I've had a hard time getting the deformation on the legs correctly, but with this, I've managed to actually improve the deformations very well. I didn't use B-Bones for the reason that, as a few other people have commented, an armature with B-bones cannot be imported into game engines, so I did everything you suggested here without making the Middle hip bone into a B-bone and instead subdivided it, giving me a similar result. It works out nicely when I rotate my character's legs in (Blender's) local Z-axis, but when I rotate the legs forward (local X-axis), the character looks... Off. DO you have any suggestions for this?

This is the only tutorial that has actually made me feel like i UNDERSTAND anything in blender nodes
@fanatic632
@fanatic632 Ай бұрын
While these are all good techniques, a beginner like me can't understand fully. I can't even read what's written on those nodes and what node values you're using, they are too small to see/read. Not to mention, beginners can't even understand how those Mix shader and factor masking is working. Could you please share a blend file? That would be helpful.

does rigify comes with this type of bone structure? or is there anyway to add it?
@eschuurm
@eschuurm Ай бұрын
In the intro, just before the cloth drops, there is no instruction to assign collision to the sphere, and it's super easy to miss. It may be obvious to experienced Blender people, but I'm a newb and it was kinda frustrating because it flies past.

They changed something in 4.2 about ctrl+alt+s, it just saves as a new file. My b bones were way to big in comparison to everything else, and I couldn't figure out how to scale them down. Any idea what's going on?
