Can you put a sprocket on the front of the crank shaft to power a hydraulic pump?
@nathanh722811 ай бұрын
I'm sure you could but I would put a hydraulic pump under the fuel injection pump like where a dodge cummins had there power steering pump

Had one growing up. Super MD . Wish I still had it. Will subscribe to watch your progress.

big howdy from Fort madison iowa the cummins I used was a non turbo 3.9 lieter and about 105hp but you can use any 4 cylinder cummins in that tractor I used the original front mount blocks but I had to grind them down to fit between the front of the engine and frame rails. I reused the original engine plate for the bellhousing and put new holes in it to line up to the cummins you have to make a 1/2in spacer to go between the crankshaft and flywheel and you have to use the original flywheel but drill new holes for the cummins and then you can reuse the original starter it sounds kinda complicated but it's not bad to do we also have a MD and it's really hard to find new engine parts hear to so this next one I'll make a video of how to do it step by step if you have any questions I'd be happy to answer them have a good day and I hope everything is going good for you down there

I am an IH and a MF collector/restorer and work on other’s Tractors. I agree with You on the difficulty finding parts for the Gas start/ Diesel run IH’s even the 350 Diesel which is a Continental. The Continental in the 350 was basically the same as the 33 and the triple. Considering that Continental put Engines in everything from Massey ( Harris and Ferguson ) to industrial Engines to Kaiser/ Frazer Automobiles, They are very hard to find parts 2 - day. In particular, the 382 Engine.

It is old and it's worth it as a working machine is not economical. As a static historical item or a restoration historical item is priceless to someone.

These guys just did this video because they knew a crane will-it-run-video would get them views. And, so it did. But if they scrap it, any new subs they could also have gotten, are gonna go right down the toilet. And, rightly so.

This machine is in far better shape than the Diesel Creek machine. Please don’t scrap it. Jonathan W restored one that was far, far worse than this. This has a good boom and the engine sounds OK. Check out Jonathan’s video on repairing the Whamo on the radiator sheet metal.This one still has paint. Thanks for the video, but again PLEASE don’t scrap it. It is far too nice.

You know it's funny but my 2000 Vortec 350 engine look just like that in the top end, hot and cold moist and dry set for over 8 years and that's what happened to it but still it fired right up after I did just a little work. You guys did the hard work by getting it out of there I don't know why you're scrapping it the boom seems good yeah it's got some issues with the house but it runs it drives surely you can sell it for a hell of a lot more than $301 you'll probably get that and scrap just for the buckets?? Maybe ought to see if somebody wants to buy it and let the damned old thing live. I know Jonathan got one out of the swamp just like that and he uses it all the time. Just a thought guys, awesome freaking video though.

Supercharger No, scavenging air pump Yes. That is a 2-71 Detroit diesel that develops about 60 to 65 hp, they were good little engines!! I had an Allis Chalmers HD 5 that had one that ran quite well for many years!!! Use 40 or no less than 30 weight oil in the summer temps.

@@stevehetrick2676 they are extremely simple engines and cheap to rebuild. I rebuilt one a couple years ago for about $1200
