That is a pretty cool conversion. I like ol school but i will have to say it makes a ol M a little more useful. Good job fella.

I would have loved to have seen a start up portion in the video. Love to hear the diesel engines. Great looking tractor.👍😎

30miles/h, our farmall M in France was dieselized with a Perkins and on the road at 2000 rpm, it was going at 21miles/h !!
@Corvacar Жыл бұрын
Considering that high ( 5th ) is direct drive in the H and M then speed is directly related to RPM of the Engine.

Very Cool. I want to do that to a Allis Chalmers WD45. Not sure if I have the skills and the patience. But, someday maybe 🤔👍👏🇺🇲

Nicely done. It would be interesting to see how the driveline would cope with the extra power if worked hard. Ian🇦🇺

I sold it shortly after the video the guy who bought it said he was going to use it on a grain bin auger and do shows so I doubt it gets a work out

it wouldnt lol, tires are too skinny anyways to put the power to the ground anyways, woulda been nicer if it had engine powered hydraulic pump to make use of the extra hp
@DG-ne8iq2 жыл бұрын
Yes indeed 100hp!!,My father in France had a Perkins 4-270 put in, diesel, direct injection and CAV-lucas rotary injection pump. sold for 57hp at 1700t/mn, we increased it to 67hp/2000t/mn. This tractor was equipped in 12/13-38 with Good year rice tires. We had to reinforce the clutch with stiffer springs. It was resold in 2000 with about 18000h. We were very satisfied with it and never had any problem downstream (gearbox-bridge). In 2000 it started cold as in its youth, and without consuming any oil, it must have ended up with a collector.

Can you put a sprocket on the front of the crank shaft to power a hydraulic pump?
@nathanh7228 Жыл бұрын
I'm sure you could but I would put a hydraulic pump under the fuel injection pump like where a dodge cummins had there power steering pump

big howdy from Fort madison iowa the cummins I used was a non turbo 3.9 lieter and about 105hp but you can use any 4 cylinder cummins in that tractor I used the original front mount blocks but I had to grind them down to fit between the front of the engine and frame rails. I reused the original engine plate for the bellhousing and put new holes in it to line up to the cummins you have to make a 1/2in spacer to go between the crankshaft and flywheel and you have to use the original flywheel but drill new holes for the cummins and then you can reuse the original starter it sounds kinda complicated but it's not bad to do we also have a MD and it's really hard to find new engine parts hear to so this next one I'll make a video of how to do it step by step if you have any questions I'd be happy to answer them have a good day and I hope everything is going good for you down there

I am an IH and a MF collector/restorer and work on other’s Tractors. I agree with You on the difficulty finding parts for the Gas start/ Diesel run IH’s even the 350 Diesel which is a Continental. The Continental in the 350 was basically the same as the 33 and the triple. Considering that Continental put Engines in everything from Massey ( Harris and Ferguson ) to industrial Engines to Kaiser/ Frazer Automobiles, They are very hard to find parts 2 - day. In particular, the 382 Engine.
