Hi, it does not have bluetooth but you can buy a bluetooth receiver and cables from the receiver to the subwoofer - probably RCA to 6,3mm Jack or 3,5mm jack stereo to dual 6,3mm jack. It can be connected via the computer with 3,5mm jack to 6,3mm jack or you can buy a soundcard that has other outputs. From the subwoofer you need xlr cables to the studio monitors. If it makes any sense

Lowering the tuning point of the passive radiators can cause damage to the drivers if not done correctly

Not sure. Over-excursion happened with the stock tuning. I have tried it with freqency generator and it does not reach the xmax of the drivers so it is even less harmful then it was.
Wenn man Ahnung von Equalizern hätte dann wäre einem auch klar das der Lautsprecher bei dem EQ übersteuert😂
@matus330327 күн бұрын
I know. The speaker is overloading even with -6db in some songs so the EQ is not the problem. After this mod it does not distort as much even with +6db. I doubt anyone uses this speaker for serious listening anyway. If you have any idea how EQ works if you lower the gain by 6db and add 6db at 50hz it is not going to overload. I have been doing EQs with REW + EqualizierAPO, Genelec GLM, DBX sound processor This speaker is DSP corrected but we have no idea which filters are there and how they were set. You will not get a pure sound from this because of that.

Thanks for the video, I'll buy it and test it. On my Tribit I normally use an external EQ and increase the Subbass. But I also notice distortions when the music oscillates between Sub-bass of -40hz to upper bass. Tends to make an annoying noise. Have you ever thought about using 3 of these supports instead of 2? How many grams will be in these supports?
@matus3303Ай бұрын
I think that one on each side is enough. It improves a lot but two gets you tuning of around 38Hz. There is a Low-Cut under 30. The amplifier does not give signal to the speakers so This may be the sweet spot. Most music is not mixed down under 30Hz
@jhonnh.7012Ай бұрын
Great, but there could be a before and after comparison of the upgrade. And when capturing, you don't notice any distortions in this box. Do you have a link to the magnetic supports used?
@matus3303Ай бұрын
Hi, sorry for no comparison but the glue is strong so it is hard to take off-a good thing so it does not fly off. It improves the distortion in some songs. Some songs do not distort. Anyway it makes it sound better with deeper bass. There is still some distortion but the improvement is huge when playing bassy music. vi.aliexpress.com/item/1005003176227244.html?spm=a2g0o.order_list.order_list_main.40.20d41802w2HtgN&gatewayAdapt=glo2vnm

i actually sold my genelecs and kept my lsrs. room corrected lsrs destroy the genelecs. the highs in the lsr are superior. the bass also. more expensive doesnt mean better in this case.
@matus33032 ай бұрын
It depends. Without a subwoofer I would take the lsrs but with a sub and room correction the genelecs are superb. I had the JBL LSR310s now Genelec 7350a bass performance is way superior, speakers have better spatial quality. They sound more transparent. When you hear drums they never sounded like real life with JBLs but genelecs sound like you are there, they have wider soundstage. On Ariana Grande 7 rings I got some nasty resonance from the plastic ring surrounding the woofer on one of teh 305s so I had to tighten the screws. Still for the price JBLs are great. I have been using JBLs room corrected with REW and Equalizer APO, tried sonarworks but did not like it and I upgraded to the 8020D, kept the LSR310s after some time I got the Genelec 7350 and 8320A with GLM.
@matus33032 ай бұрын
7:24 gives you the difference. The genelec sounds “right” with more HF extention, more open sound. They just lack bass. 8030 would be more comparable but with even bigger price difference
@JoshsGadgetsandMore3 ай бұрын
That Genelec 7350 sub is digging deeper, but the devialet is impressive for its size.
@matus33033 ай бұрын
Yeah, very impressive but not very loud. It limits the volume and overal output after 70%. For me the ideal listening volume is 60-70% so at the limit and that is in a small room. Two would be enough tho. Still the bass is amazing. I compared the genelecs without sub with devialet (similar in size) and they were not comparable. Devialet has a pleasant sound. Genelecs may sound harsh at tines. Depends on the music. When listening to the Devialet it never sounded boring or lacking in highs so the tuning is great. Another thing is that the Genelec system is after room correction. Devialet sonds great without room correction. The bass is a huge problem with Genelecs before correction-boomy and overblown. The Devialet sounds balanced
@matus33033 ай бұрын
But the genelec system is a lot more powerful, you can feel the sound. The instruments sound like they are real life. Plus devialet has a delay even with the 3.5mm jack. Airplay works only sometimes and wifi disconnects so the “smart” part sucks it often disconnects from the app and if I want to change the settings it sometimes stops the music and shows that it is playing so a lot of bugs… other airplay devices work perfectly
@JoshsGadgetsandMore2 ай бұрын
@@matus3303 the response difference is seen at 3:29 in the video. The Devialet woofers are fluttering, but barely has output, while you can hear those low 20hz frequencies fine when it briefly switches to the Genelec system.
@matus33032 ай бұрын
Well the Genelec system reaches 23Hz flat in my room. -6db at 19hz. The devialet is close but at higer volumes is reduces lower bass. Genelec has a led that indicates compression and clipping. In the video it was playing clean while devialet had compression of lower bass on the same volume. Another problem is matching volume because devialet changes the intensity all the time. When the bass hits is reduces the whole volume even with treble to sound more mature. That is great but it is not loud
@matus330327 күн бұрын
@@JoshsGadgetsandMore I did some frequency measurements and they are very close. Not sure why people hate on the phantoms. Funny thing is that I went to a local audiophile store and tried some Sonus Fabers, Bowers & Wilkins, MOFI SourcePoint 8 etc. I prefered the Devialet Phantom 108db. Everything there sounded flat and boring. Bare in mind I use room corrected studio monitors but they sound more fun then those there. The B&W 801 sounded nice but the cheaper 700 series was very harsh same with Sonus Fabers. Harsher than Genelecs. My father has Sonus Faber Minima Amator - Woofer from Seas and tweeter probably from Dynaudio and they sound very nice. May be the crossover has old caps and tweeter lost its power. Also I have a interesting finding. I put the Devialet on the ground to try it as a "subwoofer" and it performed very close to the Genelec on the ground. Impressive for the two 4.25 inch drivers. Two phantoms would probably outperform the genelec.

Actually I use my B&O A1 2.gen mostly for communication purposes. Like a Jabra 510 or Sennheiser SP30. It has a phantastic audio quality, both on my side and on my communication partner. It's 3 internal microphones and the DSP feedback chancellation are quite nice. I connect it via USB to my office notebook. In parallel it is connected via Bluetooth to my Smartphone and/or tablet. It switches to the last audio signal - so if I listen to music via tablet an a call via skype or telephony app comes in, it automaticly switches to the PC, no music anymore. Quite comfortable. (I have my own room in office, else I would use headsets of course). I now have two A1's, one in the office, one at home office. So if I want to use booth as stereo pair at a weekend, I practicly get this for free extra function. As far as I have seen for the Bose Soundlink flex I have seen it also has a microphone for comunication if connected to a smartphone. However, can it be linked to multiple devices at the same time, so automatic switching between smartphone/tablet for music and PC for communication is possible? How is the communication quality compared to the A1?
