@shanegarnetti37553 жыл бұрын
I do have paddles on board but only use them in extreme shallow water. I ended up cutting my trolling motor shaft down a lot which increased my speed and gave me better visibility also.

This is a nice boat, but a plywood floor doesn’t seem necessary and adds a good bit of weight. Have you found it to be something that is needed or you just trying to dress her for the prom?
@shanegarnetti37553 жыл бұрын
The 1/8” play wood is very light and has been great. It definitely does not need one. But has added a lot of stability. Only improvement is make it to put holes in the plywood where the scupper plugs are. But I’ve never had any issues.

Now that you have had it a while. Is not having a trailer for a heavy yak fine? I’ve got an ascend . 12t that I have wheels on and fully loaded gets heavy, I couldn’t imagine dragging yours very far with wheels.

I haven’t fished anywhere that I really had to move the kayak a long distance. I typically use a boat launch or just back up to the water. I take my batteries out before losing it back in as well.

Its your old team mate! Awesome to come across your channel. I do a lot of salmon trolling in the big water and throwing hardware in the smaller rivers out of my 18 foot smokercraft. Would be great to get out on the water together sometime! I just bought a hobie pedal drive kayak as well. Im aiming to do some offshore lingcod and halibut fishing from hobuck Beach with the kayak fleet this coming May. Tight lines and good weather.

Hey man! I’m out in Spokane now, mainly fishing for walleye, musky, and bass. But fishing for some salmon or off shore fish sounds awesome! Hope you’re doing well man! Next time I’m over on the west side I’ll reach out. Tight lines!

@@shanegarnetti3755 I lived in Walla Walla for a few years while my wife was in University. There is some amazing fishing and hunting oppurtunity over on the Eastside. @shanegarnetti37554 жыл бұрын
I’m sure it would be possible.
@mackb31644 жыл бұрын
I know it is possible to mount it... but I don’t know if it is stable enough. I have a Titan 10.5, which is pretty dang stable, but not stable enough for a foot pedal controlled trolling motor...

Great video snippets. Straight & to the point. I have an Ascend h-10 get me on the water. Thinking about upgrading. Goes in pretty easy. Max weight is 400lbs Im a little on the heavy side but still love to fish... Whats the max weight the 133x can carry?? It's between this one & the 3 waters 120. Auto pilot looks cool but that whole package is 1500 x 2 separately ...... Was it worth it? Enjoy your fishing.
@shanegarnetti37554 жыл бұрын
Thank you for watching, hope you found it helpful. Max weight for the 133x is 550lbs. Also the trolling motor with co-pilot cost me about $900. I have another video where I do a more in depth breakdown of it here kzbin.info/www/bejne/j32tlWyFbZanj6s

Does the kayak come plug and play or do you have to do some wire routing for the trolling motor?
@StephenGadberry4 жыл бұрын
It's pretty much plug and play.
@shanegarnetti37554 жыл бұрын
It's already plug and play. It comes with the wiring diagram as well. You will just need to order additional SAE plugs to connect to the YakPower system if you want to connect outlets or whatever to the remaining YakPower plugs. I have two batteries, one specifically for the trolling motor, and another for all other electronics. The plug that connects to the trolling motor however is not connected to the YakPower. To install the volt-meter gauge, we had to 'T' into that line from the trolling motor battery.
