So amazing! I read/listened to the whole series and immediately started over. I'm going to be in the UK when the next book is released, and I can't wait. I'm trying to get the first book into the curriculum where I teach in Maryland.

Just finished reading it. Lots of anti-white, civic nationalist boomer propaganda nonsense. 👎

I listen to a lot of books and Kobna is by far the best narrator I have heard. He really brings the characters to life.

Does anyone know if Akunin has spoken about his writing process elsewhere? Maybe in Russian if not in English?

Dexter is phenomenal! Because of the series I had to know how he was portrayed in the books. All of Dexter should make it on screen. I know we will never outgrow our need for more Dexter.

She is exactly like a girl I graduated with and from the same era. Ever since I saw Educating Rita it struck me and it continues today. Such a strikingly effervescent personality capable of lifting you up with single smile. Even when she's the villain such as Sister, My Sister.

In EVERY performance Felder began the opening notes to their most popular hit, and Henley and Frey seethe with jealousy that he plays alone to thunderous applause. For that moment Felder was the focus of mass adoration. They didn't like that. Once he was gone other guitarists could play the notes.

Why has Coogan changed Alan’s voice? Exaggerated enunciation and more nasal and “cultured”. Doesn’t add anything.

Pat is acting against his own advice simply by delaying the book so much. As he wrote (using Tekam's character) in WMF (I didn't read it in English so I'm paraphrasing): there are secrets of the mouth and of the heart. A secret of the mouth always wants to escape, and is much lighter than a secret of the heart. The latter will sink in andweigh you down unless you actively get it out. DoS must be a secret of the heart for Pat. Moreover, in delaying SO much, Pat admits he does not know the Letany. He thinks too much, he doesn't let his essence flow, opposed to how the Adem handle the Letany.

He will not find the words for this book unless he treats it like a Name. He shouldn't understand the result fully, yet his sleeping mind will, if he just lets it, the way the Adem do.

13 FUCK!N years F¡ck that dude Pat no matter how good DoS will be if it ever gets released, I will HATE this "man" forever for giving us the biggest blue balls in literature history. No matter how clever and beautiful his words are, he's a complete a-hole

for example, GRRM is a close runner up to this notion, but I don't hate GRRM since he did give us way more content from his world than Pat ever will, he's published more from his main story, and even read to us a bunch of sample chapters from his long awaited book, which by the way is late by less than the latency on DoS. In short: F¡ck Pat. Thrice over.

So touchy, inspiring, and shocking to hear. Thank you for sharing your gold based on your own pains and life story. Came across your book when randomly searching for the name of the beautiful tree in my neighborhood that I walk past by every day: Jacaranda Tree....which led me to your work in the end
