My trainer suggested that I put my toes on the edge of my stairs and let my heels drop, it’s actually my favourite calf stretch since it allows my heels to get deep and fall low

Wow … I am not a dressage rider but my hips just get kind of stuck. These exercises helped so much. Your explanations and demonstrations were clear and easy to understand. I also watched and tried your beginner yoga. So good. Thank you, thank you 😊

Was able to drop my stirrups two holes in a matter of weeks because of these stretches. I used to get really tight and painful hips after riding sitting trot on one of my trainer's big warmbloods and these stretches have helped that problem, too.

Good morning! I’m new to your channel and I’m loving your videos. Thank you. It would be super helpful for me if you mentioned the different Asana as we transfer poses like for example, pigeon or crescent lunge. That way, I don’t have to keep my eyes on the video constantly, but I can flow with the movements. Thank you for your consideration!

Thank you! This was really nice and focused on all the areas in my body that feel stiff. I usually try to stretch myself when I feel stiff but I find it hard to find good positions. I'll definitely come back to this video though. I didn't really feel any stretch at all in the position where we should sit and hug one leg while the other was outstretched. I don't know if I was doing it wrong or if I need to do some adjustments for it to work for my body, I'll have to research that to see any alternatives to try in that particular position.

I no longer ride however I decided to give this a try. Just 21 days, only 5 minutes a day. I have noticed Huge improvements in my strength and flexibility. And I think my horse likes it too. I'm able to stay more balanced on the ground and aware of my body, which he seems to appreciate. Thank you for putting this together. I'm not much for working out, so the idea of "only 5 minutes" really helps keep me motivated and showing up no matter how I'm feeling each day.

I just started riding at a local horse therapy center and this is this is one thing I struggle to keep during the sessions. I will definitely try doing this exercise

Update: After doing this exercise for a few days, I already see a lot of improvement with me being able to keep my heels down without having to force them. So I would definitely recommend trying this exercise if you’re struggling keeping your heels down while riding. I have also found it nice to play some music while doing this exercise too

Thank you for that great challenge! I’m not a youngster, unfortunately 😂 so even riding one horse a day and then going to the gym sounds for me as impossible as flying to Mars😂 and five minutes a day sounds like a great idea. It’s better to do anything than to do nothing

These are great Nicola. I am doing the yoga workouts until DRT opens again. But I have a question. My right hamstring/ hip is so much tighter than my left. Should I be spending more time working on that side, or will the workouts eventually even me up? Thanks so much for these videos!

Fantastic resources provided, thankyou, Nicola. I happened upon yr site whilst googling looking towards starting competing dressage, & learning the arena set up! But recently whilst training my horses I've been thinking alot about tension in my hip flexors & the struggle I have in trying to achieve correct alignment, always trying to work my legs back. Great demo of perfectly relevant exercises. You look beautifully flexible & svelte! Look foward to following more 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼🐎💐🙏
