If KZbin doesn't stop injecting 4 minutes of commercials into a 9 minute video you are going to lose this viewer.

Yeah...doubt the lower midwest will get much snow yet again, you'll have to travel north of the lakes to get any significant snow now.

Hey Robby. I am happy to send over my dock with thunderbolt cable that I don't use. I was going to sell it on eBay but would rather contribute to my favorite KZbin creator. Let me know if interested so I can ship

Love the example you're setting, Robbie! Think of it this way: conserving/repairing/reusing saves you money, and the savings can help you buy local when you do need to buy something.

LOVED the flat-box drop sync to the drum fill. hahah it's the little things like that that put your editing at a different level! Just wanted you to know that at least 1 person super appreciates your creative efforts! haha

Robby -- if you see this -- do you have any advice on which external hard drives work well for video file storage? I am filling up my MacBook with videos for my channels and need to get an HDD ASAP, but whenever I shop the reviews keep me from pulling the trigger. Any input would be most appreciated. Good luck on that 5K!!

I appreciate the sentiment of "buy made in the USA", but with the way supply chains work these days, even something that is "made in the USA" is made using supplies/parts/components that come from all over the world. Also, I'm sure it depends on what type of produce you are talking about, but transportation makes up such a small part of the carbon footprint of food that it is often better to buy something grown in an area with better growing conditions than buying something grown locally that needed a lot more inputs to get it to grow in your climate. Thank you for listening to my ted talk.

I've purchased two refurb/open box monitors and probably won't buy another monitor new. One was $300 instead of $500 because it had a "scratch" (couldn't find one) and no stand, and the other was about 30% off through Amazon refurb and still kicking today.

I think a lot of people have internet problems because they are relying on their old linksys routers they picked up when everyone was against renting them from the ISP. partially the ISPs fault, but now my cable/router is free and its tuned for my speeds I am getting its super reliable. I still have a ubiuiti/unifi router/switch/APs in front of it because its fun lol.

I always get so jealous hearing about other countries internet speeds for what should be the standard. Living in Australia, I’ve never lived somewhere where a wired connection was possible. The highest speeds I’ve ever gotten are about 40mbps download
@ReeWrayOutdoors25 күн бұрын
Oh man! That's rough! I think here in the US, we're actually just finally starting to catch up with EU. Even though I lived in the suburbs of a fairly large mid-western city, I was stuck with around 100Mb for years. And it wasn't until the last 3 years or so that I've had access to fiber internet with speeds in the 1Gb range...but damn is it ever a game-changer if you're uploading 4K video on a regular basis!

I'd argue routers/AP have gotten worse if nothing else, not in regards to speed but brands are pushing subscription based models. You've got to buy business class network gear nowadays to get good equipment with out all the BS.
