I wish on the 76 Tour he didn't include so much from Venus & Mars. He could have done Smile Away instead of Call Me Back Again. Added Heart Of The Country, & Some People Never Know or Bip Bop to the acoustic set. Replaced You Gave Me The Answer with When The Night. But that's just me.

Great example of how a good history teacher can transform a child's development. And why we should help students become more articulate maybe through teaching debate rather than just composition (take a lead from Law courses?)

17:44 - David errs here. The Tudors except for the first one (Henry VII) had a solid claim on the throne by male-preference primogeniture, since after the deaths of the Princes In The Tower the next person in line was their sister, and Henry VII married that sister. So if you doubt that the father of Prince Arthur and his brother the future Henry VIII was "royal enough", you can't doubt that their mother was royal.

King Arthur is NOT the ideal King. He is the King who would have been ideal but for a few flaws, and the flaws are the ideal flaws. He is imperfect in the way that meets the perfect ideal of imperfection. In a way, Donald Trump is the same. He is, absolutely, a crim'inal, but he is a crim'inal in the way that makes him the IDEAL crim'inal to his followers. He's the crim'inal they secretly wish THEY could have become if only they had been blessed with some gift of drive and ambition, to work harder at being crooked.

Topher The11th: And saying that King Arthur is TOTALLY fiction is missing the point. So is Beowulf. Sherlock Holmes. Zeus. Poseidon. All of Jane Austen's characters. Fiction of the past that became popular did so because of the state of the society that made that fiction popular. We can learn about the way a society was by reading its fiction (and religious tales and myths). At one time Robin Hood was a true common vulgar highwayman. Later on he's somehow been changed into a noble heir wrongfully dispossessed by King John. That's because society changed, and by unraveling fiction we can unravel past societies.

On the book on the shelf, the title has a typo. It should be "Unruley". Maybe "Unrulery", but "Unruley" is better. It's too bad that David Mitchell did not consult me. He misses a lot by ignoring me.
