Joe is so much more than just a comedian he is a highly intelligent caring person who has a very good sense of justice for everyone no matter their flaws as his story about Jim Davison shows. My favourite interviews with him are the quieter ones where he is relaxed and not trying to be anything other than himself like this one. I think he gets dismissed because when he does something to make a point it’s assumed he is seeking attention when in reality he’s using his platform to show what the majority of us are too afraid to say and I admire him for that. The interviewer who I apologise for not knowing the name of brings out the best in him and it’s more like listening to friends chatting which is a skill many of them lack. I personally have met Joe a few times over his career and unlike a lot of famous people he is exactly the same person that you see on screen. I found him to be warm and friendly and he is always interested in you and never makes you feel like he doesn’t have time to talk to you. 😊❤

I'm in the US and Joe is one of my favorite comedians and love to hear this about him. It's the vibe I get from him. I was explaining to my best friend about his artwork (the sculpture of Chris). A while later she referred to him as "your artist friend." I think she missed the part where Joe is a well-known person in the UK. When I explained, she said, "Well he sounds lovely and if he knew you, you two would be friends." So ever since then, when I talk about Joe to her, I say, "My friend, Joe, the artist, with the wacky sculptures and paintings..." I gifted her his show about his years-long con in Birmingham (if you know, you know) so she could see how awesome he is.

So good and so funny. I saw Joe's painting of Gary Lineker watching him in a swimming pool at the RA summer exhibition last year. Such a joy. Cheered me up.

I'm available for commission, so long as what you're after is that same face and some kind of fruit for hair.

Ahww the interviewer is so dedicated, actually reading the book, doing so much research (including watching KZbin tutorials on how to draw faces), buying 2 kitkats. Weird that his name isn't mentioned in either the video or the description? Unless I'm missing something. Anyway, really cute and wholesome vid on a whole. Oh and Joe is obviously amazing - does that even need saying?
