I am currently dealing with this but instead of hearing the original pitch and the other one higher, I am hearing the original pitch in one ear and the other is like 1 pitch lower

What if you just take them out and not replace it with anything?

I seem to have a very similar thing on my right ear only. - It started about 3-4 weeks ago (without any warning), and similarly I thought I was becoming sick (had a sore throat and some pressure anomalies on ears). - I found that if I whistle C# two octaves above middle C, it actually cancels out about 80-90% of the effect. (Sometimes the best whistle tone seems to be around H 2 octaves above middle C.) It makes no difference whether I whistle it or play a recording of a whistle - but the timbre does make: If I play the same note on an acoustic guitar, no effect. In contrast, lower pitch whistles really makes the "effect" more prominent. It also seems to be very dependent on the pitch (eg. H and C# seem to be the resonant points, others around or in between have very little to no cancellation effect). - I think I can basically hear perfectly from both ears, it's just that the right ear has this extra effect (mostly on the high frequency spectrum) which is added to the normal hearing - for some timbers / notes, it feels like the effect has 200%-300% volume, for others more like 20-30%. - The effect is most noticeably / dysharmonic (= pitches in disharmony) with a female voice or instrumental sounds of a mid-high frequency. Lower male voice has very little effect. With higher frequencies, the effect is there but it doesn't sound "dysharmonic" but rather like extra white noise (with a bit of a metallic timbre). It also sounds somewhat similar to as if you were holding your ear against, say, a wooden table instead of having air around. - My initial descriptions of the effect were "a metallic pitch shift". I think you can emulate the same with a "pitch shifter" effect (going a bit upwards) with an HP filter on the input -> will try later to reproduce the effect. It also instantly reminded me of "ring modulation". - Other notes: I went to a NTE doctor, who said the ear(s) were clear, nothing special there - suggested maybe something about jaw tension. (However the effect does not vary according to jaw tensions or such, unlike my somatic tinnitus.) - UPDATE: I tried to simulate the effect with Ableton: kzbin.info/www/bejne/iYjZnJKAbJyIrqM

Do you have a tutorial on how to remove the tank treads? I'm assuming you have to knock a pin out?

Thank you for sharing this. I'm dealing with the same thing badly for two months now, along with something intermittent that sounds like holding a conch shell up to your ear (aka loud ocean sounds).

If you want more T&F styled models, I recommend looking Jamostrainos. they re produced many of the model series rolling stock (engines and more) at G1 scale. I downscaled one and made an adapter to fit on my 3d printed wagons.

It happened to me once, but in my case, it's diplacusis monauralis (affecting only one ear - my left ear). Went to an ENT and was not offered any treatment plan, so I decided to find some exercises on KZbin and about 5 months later, it disappeared on its own.

What about wearing an earplug in your affected ear to minimize the affect?
@TheLazierEyebrow

it was both ears actually, and it went away a few weeks after the infection cleared. however having one ear plugged tends to be less prefereable than both being out of tune

I feel like the windshield isnt wide enough and is a little too tall? Maybe not, regardless a massive upgrade. If you happen to have siege blaster or soundwave too their extra weird gun works as a great hound pistol. I plan on making a custom missile for my hounds launcher too.

This is an awesome kit. Would be equally awesome if I could find Earthrise Sunstreaker for non-wallet-shattering prices. (Same for Earthrise Trailbreaker - I'm tempted to just get the blue DK3 Guard repaint since it's cheaper)

I have a very similar diplacusis but only the semitones are correct but I hear everything in lower frequency, dark voices, do you think it's a mild diplacusis? I recovered from an ear infection. Even if I feel like this, I have nothing left, they tell me it's a neurological fact
