You need to use the maxis, minion on the back and maxis assegai on front I wouldn’t doubt you were having grip issues if you were running double minions

MIPS is not to prevent concussions. MIPS is to prevent possible rotational injuries. Better to have the top part of the helmet rotate than your head / neck.

The manual also says to compress the seat post slightly after each ride. Did you ever do that?
@lonestarmtb6799 Жыл бұрын
No, I never did that. I always left it all the way up, all the time, unless I was riding or needed to lower it for transport. I never had any issues and is still my favorite dropper post.

Thank you very much. Can you do a video on how to adjust the seat forward or backward ? I just bought a new bike with the seat post and need to adjust the seat a bit. But scared that I’ll break something. lol. Ty
@lonestarmtb6799 Жыл бұрын
It's VERY easy. Simply loosen the rear bolt (leaving the front one alone) and the seat will begin to slide forwards or backwards on its seat rails. You don't have to remove the bolt; just loosen it enough to allow some movement. Once you've set the position, re-tighten and the nose of the seat will return to its original position. I believe the are KZbin videos that can help. Your local bike shop is also a great option when help is needed.

Great update, thanks. I just got my Revive and am very glad to have it after a very disappointing experience with Crank brothers Highline. The Highline just completely lost it's mojo after about 10 months or so. Would not stay where it was set. The actuator at the bottom is made out of nylon, or some other non metalic material. So it gradually gave and led to too much play in the control. Total fail!! WTF CB engineers? Or is that just "planned obsolescence"?

I bet traveling with this helmet style is a lot easier too. Just take it apart and it packs way smaller.
@or-ian6973 Жыл бұрын
For a little more money the air R does seem like the better helmet but the changes are so minor. And I don’t know who’s trying to take off the chin bar with gloves on. I’m not out of the trail constantly swapping. It’s either on for the ride or off and not even with me.

Going from street bikes using dozens of tires (Perelli, Conti, Dunlop, Bridgestone) hands down Michelin is just the best. Then going to dirt bikes.. Again Michelin is very good. Not sure on Mountain bikes, but I think I know the potential results.

How would you compare Air Supply to Southeast Style at Kanuga?
@lonestarmtb6799 Жыл бұрын
Unfortunately, I haven't made it out to Kanuga yet so, I can't make an accurate comparison. Air Supply is pretty freakin big though and the new line they're building, "My Little Pony", is looking pretty huge too!
@jacobcrawfordmtb Жыл бұрын
@@lonestarmtb6799 I saw that about My Little Pony. It’s a proline jumpline. How far along have they come on it?
@lonestarmtb6799 Жыл бұрын
@@jacobcrawfordmtb I've only seen clips of it through social media. It's being built in a new section that's separate from the shuttle accessed trails. I asked them about it 2 weeks ago and Jarrod said they were still working on it but shouldn't be much longer. The weather hasn't been cooperating.

Do you feel less protected when using the Super Air R? Some redditors said that the Super Air R feels flimsy, and now I think I should go for the Super DH even when I ride flat and flow based trails.

I smashed the back of my head really hard on asphalt in a 28 mph Onewheel nosedive crash with the Air R, the outer layer cracked in multiple places but that's a good thing because it's absorbing energy.

Well hot damn! Thank you for that review and info.! I've not really looked into dropper posts to any degree. My Ibis came with a BikeYoke and I had no clue who made them. I assumed it was a cheapo knock-off, but then I went to their website and see they're a German company, which is cool. Plus, their videos are awesome - how simple to service that thing! And now the quick reset? Awesome! Thanks Ibis for picking a great dropper!

Hi, is $200 a good price for the Super Air R? I bought the large size but when I tried it on, it felt a bit loose and the cheek pads were 1-2 mm clearance around my cheeks. The trail I ride on have loose gravels and some steep dh. Is the super air good enough for that? Thanks.
