Awesome! I just love this dropper post but it was about 10-15% soft after last ride... just watched all the Bike Yoke service videos and was getting geared up to disassemble everything... but this little gem of a trick solved it in seconds. Thank you!!

AWESOME!! I've had the same one for almost 3 years and it's seen over 2,000 miles of use. Absolutely PHENOMENAL quality and design.

Well hot damn! Thank you for that review and info.! I've not really looked into dropper posts to any degree. My Ibis came with a BikeYoke and I had no clue who made them. I assumed it was a cheapo knock-off, but then I went to their website and see they're a German company, which is cool. Plus, their videos are awesome - how simple to service that thing! And now the quick reset? Awesome! Thanks Ibis for picking a great dropper!

I rode a Yeti w/ one of these Revive posts for a week in NC - I thought it was BEST. All other popular posts seem to have rotational play. I hate play. This post has none! I thought this adds to the feel of the bike. Was ultra smooth and well worth the $$ are my added 2 cents.

Great info thanks. Looking for my next post. 6 months on a Reverb C1 dropper (came stock) and 2 failures and I’ve had enough. Pity because the Reverb is smooth as butter. Also the “bleed valve” on the C1 does nothing 🤦🏼♂️ (except make a pssht sound).

Great update, thanks. I just got my Revive and am very glad to have it after a very disappointing experience with Crank brothers Highline. The Highline just completely lost it's mojo after about 10 months or so. Would not stay where it was set. The actuator at the bottom is made out of nylon, or some other non metalic material. So it gradually gave and led to too much play in the control. Total fail!! WTF CB engineers? Or is that just "planned obsolescence"?

Nice review. I will probably buy one of these for my next bike since it seems to be the best design so far. My KS is not without trouble so I won't buy it again. What I can't figure out is why they make these hydraulic. If they were mechanical they would be simple, lighter, more reliable, and cheaper. So what if your taint get's spanked once in a while. You will learn. Did I just say cheaper ?

Follow up: Its been running flawlessly! However, lately I been noticing there is a slight delay on the return. I bled it a few times and there remains a delay. My LBS one time lubed it, but am not sure how to lube this particular post. Have to look it up.

Nice review. I'm looking at getting one of these for my Levo eMTB. The only sponge I saw was in the cardboard packaging tube at the bike shop. Where is that sponge you speak of? Also, I usually invert my eMTB on the grass to lube the chain. Will this require a rset every time I flip the bike?
@lonestarmtb67995 жыл бұрын
Thank you! If you're looking at the base of the post you will see where the cable attaches. Just above the post actuator and slightly inside the post, is a "C" shaped spring clip. The sponge is just behind that. The "C" clip can be easily removed with a small pair of needle-nosed pliers and the sponge with a small pick. I have not ridden in muddy conditions since then and have not needed to clean it again. As far as reseting after being upside down; you might have to do an occasional reset. I have a 1st generation model and I might have to do a reset once out of 7 to 8 times of being upside down. Thankfully it's so easy to do, that I don't mind. My brother and several fellow riders have the current generation and have had no issues. I hope that answered your question and feel free to ask me anything else that comes to mind!

The manual also says to compress the seat post slightly after each ride. Did you ever do that?
@lonestarmtb6799 Жыл бұрын
No, I never did that. I always left it all the way up, all the time, unless I was riding or needed to lower it for transport. I never had any issues and is still my favorite dropper post.

Thank you very much. Can you do a video on how to adjust the seat forward or backward ? I just bought a new bike with the seat post and need to adjust the seat a bit. But scared that I’ll break something. lol. Ty
@lonestarmtb6799 Жыл бұрын
It's VERY easy. Simply loosen the rear bolt (leaving the front one alone) and the seat will begin to slide forwards or backwards on its seat rails. You don't have to remove the bolt; just loosen it enough to allow some movement. Once you've set the position, re-tighten and the nose of the seat will return to its original position. I believe the are KZbin videos that can help. Your local bike shop is also a great option when help is needed.

Great video! You might be able to help me: I just bought another bike with this post. It returns well, however, I have to shift my weight to the front of the saddle to engage it. Is there a way to fix this? What could it be? Thanks

I'm not sure. It could need more air pressure or may be time for a service. I would check the air pressure first.

@asilver12343 жыл бұрын
question for you: just installed it, when I'm sitting with full weight, the trigger has initial resistance before actuating the dropper, with less than my full weight (205lbs) the lever actuates with no restriction and it drops. It almost feels like it's intentional to eliminate you accidentally dropping the lever....I just replaced a crank brothers dropper with the revive and that's one thing that I cannot tell is intentional, the rest of how it feels and actuates I love (I'm up near Waxahachie, just found your page, thanks!
@lonestarmtb67993 жыл бұрын
Hey Aaron! Yes, mine does the same thing. I'm not sure why but, you're probably correct, it's likely designed that way for a reason. Thankfully, it's never been a problem. I just realized, I've used and abused this dropper for 4 years now! 😮 It's such a great piece engineering...you're going to love it!
@patricklibao1505 жыл бұрын
Ive used mine for about two months now, i notice some movement or a bit of play on my post, its actually a play when you move the saddle left to right. Somewhat a horizontal play. Do u have that too?
@lonestarmtb67995 жыл бұрын
If you're talking about some play when twisting the saddle back & forth, left to right? Then yes, just a little bit. The amount of movement has always remained minimal though. Myself and others have noticed this as well and it seems to be normal/common with these droppers.

Hi. I believe I have the Revive. How often do you have to bleed it?
@lonestarmtb67993 жыл бұрын
Hello! When it was brand new, rarely. As it got older (2.5yrs+) I needed to "reset" it more frequently. Especially if the bike was turned upside down or, laid on it's side while the post was down.

I'm 230-240lbs and after 4 years on the SAME dropper post, I've had ZERO issues. I still consider it to be one of the very best investments I've made to date. As far as gunk, I had to clean out the bottom of the seat tube after an especially wet and muddy race. That was about 3 years ago and it's continued too work flawlessly. I hope that helps! Cheers!
