If you want to get the true vehicle margins of mass produced vehicles that Tesla sells shouldn't you back out the drag that the ramp that the Cybertruck has on the margins as in the last quarter that was significant? Why do you not mention this?

AI is unlike any other technology. It is called Neural Network as it tries to emulate the function of neurons in human beings. Its ROI is the savings companies made by laying off workers. Some call center workers in India and Thailand have already lost jobs. But sometime in the future the technology will mature and cause massive white color high paying job losses and the CEOs are patiently waiting for that day for their Roi.

FSD cannot and will not be solved without some level of AGI. Either way, FSD must have the inherent ability to self-learn and make decisions cognitively. No point in chasing down edge case after edge case which by their very nature are infinite.

You need to stop saying "autonomous". The Tesla system isn't. You wouldn't call GM SuperCruise autonomous. SAE J3016 Level 2. Not Autonomous.. FSD miles has zero correlation with progress too. This system have been "autonomous in 6-12 months" since 2019, and I expect it to remain that for the remainder of this decade,

With respect to the FSD miles, at the start of the quarter they were pushing free 30 day trial which no doubt added mileage as people were trying it out. Not necessarily concerning that subsequent months weren’t as high in terms of added mileage.

Elon is alienating many of his customers esp with his endorsement of Trump. Most EV buyers are on the left. Most people I know with Teslas are regretting their purchase. It doesn't bode well.

A share of Tesla without the 2 stock splits would be worth $2200. The company continues to grow and inovate. Anyone doubting the future of Tesla is silly. Remember - pecemists sound smart. Optimists make money.

I continue to be confused by the market. Obviously, the dip in Q1 was due to circumstances beyond their control and that Q2 would rebound due to in-process deliveries. Well the stock tanked on the former and spiked on the latter. Then the quarterly call literally said everything they always say with few new points that are within limit of what they are allowed to say on these calls. Stock tanks. I'll just continue to follow the news but otherwise sleep on the stock price until the market wakes up to reality. FSD and Optimus is on the cusp. Unfortunately, I'm not in the position to increase my position but if that changes I will be buying.

Right, so, basically, what Gene is saying is that if the earnings were good this quarter it would 100% totally be about the here and now. But they're a dumpster fire, so don't look at them. Look at that bird in the trees 1000 miles away. Second, "unboxed" is a total sham. Third, unsupervised autonomous driving is many years if not decades away. Elon does not get to decide what is "solved," and if its safe to deploy to public roads. There is no imminent product release here. Not the software, not robotaxis.

Would it be different if Elon actually was involved full time at Tesla? As opposed to be all over the internet stirring up politics, raising 12 children that are geographically dispersed, pumping conspiracy theories out on twitter. He used to focus on the factory. Now, he is unfocused.

semi truck and cyber truck were hype and now bust. Robi taxi plus 3 years away. Robots are cool but more hype. Need New Revenue and Cashflow. No regulation approval for FSD. Price to Sales 9 times and PE 63 too high, Eps 4 times 40 = 160. Sell and revisit. Just remember without tech this is a car company. GM and F Pes are Single digit. Wall street will only wait so long

Much better stocks to invest into - Elon is just full of it, He's got his $50B so no pump this earnings (unlike last time)... too much over the horizon promising is becoming tiring...

Nah - Tesla is the leader in general AI - 6 million current products. Google has Waymo - not scalable and too expensive with inadequate hardware. With adverts this product is getting increasingly unpopular and their action with ad blockers is another illegality.
