The shortages of charging stations and heavy batteries are causing people to stick to ICE for now. If these 2 things are resolved, the ICE will be dead because of oil changes, repair, and 8000 parts to go wrong VS only 1800 parts on EV. And then thousands gas stations and auto shops will go out of business. We need SMR's (reactors similar to the one in aircraft carriers and submarines make up the power that will be decarbonizing the power industry. Hundreds of 100MW power plants VS a few 3000MW of old nuclear power plant are needed.
