Wooo. What type paper is that? Is this a normal decal paper? How come you sticked the front directly to the surface of the mug and not the back where there's gum? Pls, can you explain to me? Also, how did you remove the file entirely? Is this different from a normal water slide paper printed on a DI printing machine?

TIP: be carful not to over cook in the oven if you've used a plastic primer, as it can burn and tinge yellow a bit. Also, it seems possible to apply these without using terps.

No it won't as it must be used on flat and glossy surface which can take heat blowing at least 200C

I'm sorry the name is pronounced "DEE-CAL" papers ... they have been around before I was born in 1949 ... just saying as this is over 6 years old. Many years ago in the 50's we used "gum glue paper" sprayed with 6-8 coats of lacquer for the base, wet sand and then hand do the lettering or art work. Then we used gelatin sizing to float it onto the base and seal with a clear coat of lacquer or spar varnish. Old Australian glass Beer Ad pub signs were done that way. ... sadly a lost art these days.

Hello, is the rubbing alcohol step essential? Can't we go directly to the water stage? Can the decal be applied to a rounded surface such as wine glasses for example? Thank you

You can skip the step but this product is only for display and not waterproof.

When I use a hairdryer the decal just dries out and lifts straight off with the film. How long should a hairdryer be used for to make this work? Can you do a video using a hairdryer on plastic? And how long to cool for before lifting off the film?

Hair-dryer is not good, you have to apply heat of 200C for 5 to 10 minutes depending on your item. Heat gun or oven should be used.

It is very hard to tell you exact time without having seen your item. There are so many factors to consider such as hair-dryer model, thickness of the plastic and so on which effect heating time and temperature. You need to exercise heating temperature and time until you fine the optimum setup. Raise temperature and heat for longer time until you see the decal film turns yellow.

@@drdecalmrhyde1799 No hairdryer goes hot enough, it needs to be 150 degrees +. I had to buy a heat gun (important to keep it under 200 degrees for abs plastic, so buying the correct heat gun is important) and it works. Also important to leave it to completely cool before removing the film. The instructions should not mention hairdryers as it's just not possible.

Hi everyone, can I get some help? :/ I am having massive printing issues. My printer leaves scratch marks all the time and sometimes the print is totally unusable. My printer back feed uses wheels that make contact with the ink on the paper and leave marks, and my front feed keeps bumping into curved or elevated surfaces on the paper, scratching the ink. Does anyone know how this can be solved? Many thanks in advance :)

Wow, I am so interested in doing this art craft. What are the paper use? Does it work the same with transfer paper or sublimation transfer paper? After the coating with the spray, is it still safe to use to put your food? What is the different in using gesso spray and krylon crystal clear as finishing? Is it there any different?

The tattoo paper can be used with both inkjet printer and laser printer. Can you take some photos and email to [email protected]? I cannot advise you without detail information.

It is a decorative product and not for everyday use. A quick gentle hand wash is ok but don't keep it wet too long.
