True, but it is not aimed at the serious or professional photographer. Like you say, it is aimed at the beginner and casual photographer and should be evaluated as such. For that market, and at that price point, it actually offers a lot.

What a great video. Good on you for coming out and saying these things. It honestly, sounds like you need to take a break and review your process, channel and why you're doing what you do. I would say that the review world is hard and I would say trying another topic in your world like education would be a good idea. You could even make a course about it once you're more set up there. One other thing is are you able to hire a script writer or editor? Also reducing the video frequency will help. I have been in a similar position and taking a bit of a break and doing life again was a good idea for me and has helped me focus again. Also hearing that you have another channel that requires a lot of work surprised me. I think you should focus on one of you're able to. Finally, don't be scared of losing your followers. We all love you Pav and will still be here as we love you more than the specifics of what you're doing. You always make things funny, engaging and entertaining. Just keep being you and don't sacrifice yourself for the perceptions you have of others expectations. We are overdue catching up too!!

There are soooo many camera channels right now. And some of the really famous ones actually is "all talk" and frankly just someones unskilled opinion. Your channel is one of the very few that delivers real, solid knowledge. And I think your subscribers know that. You can tell me WHY something is. Not many of your competitors in this space can. And you can tell me what creates a wonderful and artistic image. But hey...the kids probably need a hipster on an electric skateboard to focus their attention. What do I know? I do however want to thank you. You have guided me towards so much interesting glass. Thank You!

Wish you all the best in this new year man! Have been following you channel for a while now and editing tutorials, breakdowns of how you plan/shoot and edit videos would be fun to watch. Also videos like this when you speak about a subject will be cool to watch. The most important thing is that you feel good and enjoy what you are doing! All the best /Markus

I think you are doing a great job with this channel and I personally pop in every now and then and I do appreciate the content. It would be a shame to see it discontinued. If part of the struggle is tediousness of the process itself, if you are not already doing it, try using some ai chatbot to help you with the scripting and translation parts, as they are phenomenal with languages. Don't feel guilty to use those tools. They are used everywhere nowadays and are here to stay. Happy 2025.

Hope you can figure out a new direction. Personally, I appreciate reviews when I'm looking to add to my kit, but I'm leaning more and more towards educational content. I like videos that show the creative process, how-to videos on specific techniques or concepts, and I like it when youtube creators do things that break the norms and are completely different from other content. Maybe create a short film, and then several videos breaking down the process. Do a photo project and then tell us about that process. Those kind of videos are really useful and fun to watch.

Camcorders still have a place in the market zoom capabilities and also the footage isn't post processed like the weird stuff smartphones do these days turn up the shadows with HDR and also even the best phones take 12mpx photos maybe effective 8mpx also a lot of post processing is done. With proper lighting and audio this is a great cam except for the mf. Would be nice if they added a manual focus ring. This is the only con

This is just so great, how you realize and openly talk about your struggles, thank you very much for that. I think it's very good what is happening: You don't just go on, but you realize and start to change and grow. That really has nothing to do with doing bad. Quitting as a consequence is part of growing. But I am sure you can find ways to so something different, cause it seems that you don't really want to quit this channel. As another fellow said: You can do what you want. New year, new chance. Isn't that wonderful, actually? I wish you the best. :)

Hey Pav, if you need some time off take it, if you want to explore new avenues of content do it, you don't have to do product reviews every video, you can just make videos you like and post them for your audience. I think it's best that content creators focus on making the content they love rather than getting burnt out making companies happy (I know I'm one of the companies, but your mental health is more important than our sales). Cheers Pav and I hope to see you again this year, Happy New Years!

Hi Have you had a chance to experience the following lenses? I am using Fujifilm xt20. Which one would I get the best auto focus with? xt20 is an old machine, I am a little hesitant, what would your ranking be? thanks Sirui aurora 85mm f1.4 viltrox 75mm f1.2 Samyang AF 75mm f1.8
@PavSZ7 күн бұрын
Viltrox lens really stands out of these three but they are all good. In all honesty it will all come down to what for and how you use any of them on your XT20. All three can deliver really good results

Your content is of extremely high quality, your reviews always have quality pictures and are very well written. If there's a lens or camera that I'm interested in, you're always my first choice. Having said that, you can always change. You are clearly skilled, talented, and disciplined as a photographer and creator, so if you feel like the process has become tedious for you I'd advise two things: 1. Take a break, to see things clearly and to take some of the pressure off your shoulders. 2. Think of what type of videos would be fun for you to make. You know how to do videos, so if you're having fun with them, they will find their audience. Don't do the usual reviews because you feel like you have to, or a tutorial because you think people will watch it. Just concentrate on the type of content that you will enjoy making, change course if you have to, and it'll all work out for you in the long run. Think of your channel as your open canvas, and we will be here for you. Best wishes.
