1 min response. Personally I start broadly and narrow into why i'm interested in the role. x years of experience in <discipline> with a X degrees and Y certifications. Recently worked at A, B, C. My recent roles align exactly to this role I'm applying for specifically because...<short answer tying back to the Job Description>. Also mention that you feel an alignment to the culture and that you're excited to explore a mutual partnership. (and yes they have your resume and all that high level stuff is probably already in your summary but some of these hiring managers have interviewed so many people already that it's good to have that high level opener)

This wasnt really telling them about yourself. She basically told them how she started her career then went straight into a task she performed then have results. Not really a clear answer about yourself however.

One of the best ways to answer this question is to pick a topic you took a class and earned a certification on that way you can show how you have self awareness and took steps to address the weakness and make it a strength.

Include words like enjoyed. “I enjoyed growing our email list.” Humanize your vocabulary. Show you have passion for the job without using the word passion.

It’s a nice statement but the question was “Tell me about your self” but your answer is more on experiences and achievements. Tell me about yourself is something not mention in the CV

I have a bachelor's degree in engineering and I started my career as a mathematics teacher, I then transitioned into the banking and finance sector as a direct sales agent. Right now, I am the customer support analyst in my current company where I get to analyse customers data and identify trends to make valuable business decisions.

There are 2 companies who invited me for an interview but they want me to prepare 4 things. 1) sales pitch (ok reasonable) 2) first 3 months action plan 3) competitors comparison SWOT analysis (ok for 2 & 3 As long as its straight forward, not a full blow presentation) BUT 4) my business list with contacts, companies, name etc. Which i think are inappropriate and unreasonable. How do I reject politely? Am I wrong for feeling this way given the current market condition?

"Tell me about yourself" is such a mismatched question there I think. "Why are you a good fit" is way more honest because the question is about what the person can do and not about who the person is. Corporate is so cringe a lot of the time and I hate it so deeply. Just so many fake people and dumb codes. Be honest for once, for God's sake PLEASE.
