I just made the switch to harley from a few metric bikes and I must say that my 03 fatboy rides like a caddy and sounds like a barricuda!!! I love it so far.Yes it's a little slow for as much sound you get.I'll admit. When a cop pulls you over and say's you had to be doing 70 you say no it just sounded like I was doing 70!!! The prices right now are really good. For 6-7 grand you can find a really nice bike america or japanese.

Great video thanks bud. I have exactly the same AEV gear on my 2014, but for the snorkel. I am extremely impressed with both the design and build quality. For example: there are integrated hi lift points at each corner. one thing you didn't mention is that your jeep has the AEV front skid plate: it has cutouts for the hi lift. The rear bumper has welded tabs on each side to secure the hi lift foot between the tabs and reinforced shackle mount plate. Another example: that Pull Pal and Hi Lift mount. Also the shovel retainer in the tire carrier. The guys that designed the entire system deserve massive credit for their ingenuity but also for harnessing that ingenuity to extensive offroading experience and great imagination. Hey btw i am pretty sure the bumper tanks are designated "non- potable". I am about to head out on an extended trip and will verify that and correct my post as needed. Thanks again bud.

Like what you've done so far Jeff, I am part of big jeep family too. Converted my son and daughter to be jeep drivers. May have missed it but did you do a video about the dash pad repair? I would be interested as a couple of my '72s need work in that area. Good luck on rest of your project.
@jeffledbetter43878 ай бұрын
Thanks - no videos, but what i did was sanded and trimmed the cracked areas lightly, trimmed any high spots, cleaned the ares well, used light coats of body putty over a period of days to fill the cracks (apply, cures, repeat) until it filled the cracks - then lightly sanded to keep the texture of the dash pad - painted with dash pad Flxible paint. Slow is the name of the game for this repair

mine came with the bucket seats - I dont have the center consol. But that works for us as we have a German Shepherd and has plenty of room in the current set up.

I know this video is a couple years old but worth a shot. I’m trying to install these on a jeep 2016 jk and the front fenders aren’t able to bolt all the way down. The bolt is reaching the end of the lock nut before it’s tight. Did you run into this at all?

G’day. I’m impressed with your build. Please understand I’m not out to put your work down in anyway. Your telescopic tubing and actuators really needed to be the other way round. Unless they have drain holes in the bottom, you’re going to get dust, rain, mud and sand in them which for now all may be well but in time it’s going to cause some binding issues ay. Apart from that I like what you have done. Cheers.

Hey Jeff, how's the AMC360 do with the 35" tires? I'm in the midst of the 33" vs 35" debate currently and am wondering if it's going to be really sluggish with the larger tires. Thanks!
@jeffledbetter4387 Жыл бұрын
It does good with the 35's overall - you can tell the difference from stock of course. I like them and not too worried about acceleration for this build. Thanks for asking and watching the video
