the symbiote was better handled in this game than in spiderman 2 ps5. You felt way more ominous wearing it in this game, with the background theme and with the city looking darker. So simple things to implement yet insomniac games failed at this ...

The mechanic you're talking about is if the adrenaline bar (the white bar below the health meter) is filled to maximum while in the black suit. Staying in this state for too long will cause Spider-Man to pass out, though.

I love these mechanics. Player gets stronger and gets a larger health bar but you can't use it for ever because the symbiote can take your mind and kill you. And you have to level up the red suit before you loose the black suit and fight Venom. Wish Insomniac used this. Spider-Man 2 was such a disappointment with the black suit

I can’t believe Spider-Man 3 on the PSP had this simple feature of swapping between the red and black suit in real time. And insomniac couldn’t add that feature on a more advanced hardware.

It’s not that great of a mechanic , it completely halts combat for a quick time event . Insomniacs was done better , it’s just needed a quick swap mechanic so you can use the symbiote , anti symbiote and iron arms abilities in real time

Если думать именно на хорошую концовку то более наилучший выбор с мой точки зрение это 1. Не сдавать позиции 2. Не сдавать позиции 3. Пожертвовать собой Пояснение: Да-да умрет либо Джон либо Саймон. Да Саймона будет жалко а Джон? Он в сюжете ни разу не появляется можно и пожертвовать.😊 1) жестка прокачается общественно мнение для чего нужно хорошая концовка 2) Точно так же прокачает "Иерихон" И тебя просто не кикнут из Иерихона

God this takes me back. The fight to take off the suit becoming harder and harder as the story goes on. Never got the PS3 version. I'm surprised Spiderman 2 hasn't taken some cues from this game and web of shadows

This version was way better than the PS3. The fact that we can switch suits with a press of a button and do some QTEs was something Insomniac should have implemented in the game. But I do love the Symbiote Surge though. I wonder if it was inspired by the overuse of the black suit but in their version it was to match Kratos' Spartan Rage.

@@simaopinto8521 It’s a fun game mechanic that was a top fan requested feature for insomniac sm2, the only reason why people got the ps2 sm3 copy. You can take off the black suit and only have metal spider arms in free roam…you can wear suits from all movies…you can wear animated suits from another dimension... And ur worried about it being “only lore accurate” it’s just a mechanic that adds depth to the gameplay. U don’t know gaming.

It did not. I get the immerson factor but functionality That would've broke tbe pace of combat from how fast paced it is. The point was for you to have full control of the suit

How I wish Insomniac had given the suit this much attention to detail in their own game. Would've been so cool to be able to switch to the Symbiote whenever you wanted without needing a meter to do it at any time and being able to use unlimited surge mode and having all of those animations for wanting to switch back into the red suit as well. The map changing would've been sick as well.

Damn, this PS2 version did do the whole "can't take it off easy" thing. Really, it's the best way the black suit switching was implemented in a game. "Sure, you can use the crutch... but you can't take it off". It'd only be better if there was a cost to actually wearing it. Really, that'd be so cool.

@@hoshiryu If you wear it for too long, Peter goes unconscious instead, and that can fail a mission cause it counts as dying.

There is a downside, but its really noticeable throughout the game. The blacksuit gives Peter a fixed amount of health and a different set of moves. Very helpful early game, a downgrade by the time you maxed out Spidey's upgrades.
