This album was extremely expensive to produce. He used a live symphony for the production. Not just a live band. A full symphony.

A Scripture to "HOW MUCH A DOLLAR COST." Proverbs 19:17 “He that hath pity upon the poor lendeth unto the LORD; and that which he hath given will he pay him again.” God sees things way different than any of us.

People hate Drunk & Hot Girls for valid and invalid reasons. It is a bit long, but it has a great beat, and is funny. Invalid reasons are woke people getting offended tbh. Especially the younger generation. When it came out most didn't even think to get offended.

I know a lot of people think YAH. doesn't fit into the album and that it's "mid", but I think it's really deep and pretty important for the story of the album (even backwards) and I really enjoy it. Never understood the hate for the song.

One can only imagine if Kanye had only driven a few minutes earlier or later and the accident never happened. Likely graduation would be different, 808's, MBDTF, and every subsequent album may have never existed, his deteriorating mental state likely wouldn't be as bad as it is today.

ik this is years late but BLOOD. is the reminiscing of if kendricks father was killed and what actually would've happened thats why at the end if duckworth it says "so i was taking a walk the other day" this whole album is based on his belief as a christian and the facts that follow through his words and art On “BLOOD.,” Kendrick is shot by a blind lady he’s trying to help. The blind woman can be thought of as representing consequences of the damnation referenced in the Book of Deuteronomy. The duality of obeying God and being blessed, or disobeying him and being damned-giving into “wickedness” or admitting your “weaknesses” and submitting yourself to God-play a major role throughout the album.

After listening to TPAB already, im a little surprised you weren’t familiar with Anna wise or couldn’t recognize her voice on money trees, her contributions to Kendrick’s two biggest albums are so understated, she helps create the whole vibe for GKMC with her beautiful voice. I’ll never stop talking about how good her voice is, she’s probably my favourite female singer ever. This isn’t an attack btw, lol, I really loved the video, you’re a real professional and pretty keen too. I just think Anna doesn’t get the credit she deserves. Also, you absolutely nailed that “real” is the end of the movie when he figures out who Kendrick is. It’s a super underrated song and Anna wise makes it even more special. Anyway, have a beautiful day

The bit about "where your mama, daddy, and grandma" stay is partly because, in those areas, some people didn't leave their city, let alone the state. They were born into gang lines.

I grew up in Compton during the crack epidemic. Both my parents were victims of it. Most of my friends parents were affected as well. It was a really…really rough time. Literally having to wonder where your next meal was gonna come from. Having your parents steal from you. Not having clean clothes for school. Being left alone at all hours so your parent can go get their fix. Finding crack pipes. Not having a Christmas or birthday. I could go on. It was very bad. It led to many of us turning to the streets.
