Vídeo fabuloso, é muito satisfatório ver esses vídeos de restauração, o relógio estava sujo e com defeito, mas depois ele foi consertado tendo a aparência original de fábrica.🤩🕰️

I went to the video to see a restoration and after 19 minutes I could only see a person who completely disassembles a cassette to partially clean it and reassemble it with the dirty parts, but when I get to the time to restore the cassette cover I regain the illusion of seeing good job and all I see is time wasted in reducing plastic and applying resin to obtain a horrible result... It's very good to dismantle everything piece by piece and do things, but if when you put it together it doesn't look new or similar to new then it's not the same, but the appearance of this cassette after the "work" is so horrible that I think that the only thing that can be said in the title is "basic cleaning and commissioning"... I am an admirer of any work carried out in a better or worse way and I have never negatively criticized other people's work because I am not perfect when it comes to doing my restorations either but I consider this video to be a scam and a waste of time... If you had rubbed the parts of the mechanism to remove those grease and wear stains and then rubbed off the rust and used some product to protect the metal then it would have been something normal and well done, and if you had removed the parts from the cassette cover to remove the yellow glue and you would have cut out the transparent window to place a piece of new acrylic and really improve the appearance and rubbed and polished the back cover of the cassette then YES it could be called a restoration, in this case the only thing you have done is clean it basic shape and reinforce the lid with resin without achieving a much better appearance than it had at the beginning... Honestly, it's hard for me to say these things but I feel totally disappointed when I see something like this because because of these types of videos people then think that by washing with soap and water and putting a little grease in some places they have already restored a device and I'm sorry but the word RESTORE has the meaning of repairing, renewing or putting something back in the state or estimate it previously had (or failing that, as close as possible) but in this case there is nothing similar to restoration because you have not You have not renewed anything, you have only cleaned and started the device, which I value because you have carried out basic maintenance and made it work well, but you should not call "Restoration" something that is not...

I would have been more careful with the original cord, as that white rope inside of it was most likely asbestos

Any chance you can do a little video on repairing the westminster chime spring? Mine came off and I’m having trouble figuring if the ding hammer goes behind it or under it and where it faces when the spring fits in the little hole on the screw with the washer that has a little hole in it for the spring and where it is located in that cast iron 3 screw plate inside the clock

I Don’t care for all the comments and whether the cameras is functioning or not it was a beautiful job of restoration and this will not work as a camera as so many people are saying who cares the restoration The painstaking work done it’s self is a piece of art.

Fantastic! I have two of these in my collection, one I bought used over 40 years ago that still works perfectly today and another that I will repair soon (after I restore my Sony TC-800B). It’s funny, all of the TC-222 recorders that I’ve come across have a silver front trim plate (including the one in the instruction manual) whereas yours has a blue trim plate. Is it possible that a protective film is still covering it after all these years? Seems unlikely I suppose. Excellent video, liked & subscribed!

The TC 222A had the silver front. The TC 222 was always blue. (TC222L was both blue and silver and had a red round button on the STOP button) I had the 800B (Watergate) machine too. Sold it years ago.

I purchased six antique Japanese clocks by Seikosha while stationed with US Air Force in northern Hunsho from antique dealers who would come on base to the base exchange. They all work. In your opinion are old Japanese wall clocks increasing in demand and value?

Fake ! Despite the fact that that kind of video is a pleasure to watch and that the work is very well done, a camera is not a submarine, there's no way it can be that dirty outside and that clean inside. The exterior was made up dirty. It's a fake.
