How was the speeds? Do you clean capstans after you oil them up cause I know some oil does get on the playing surface of them!

I have an original Sony Beta machine that was my father's. I once actually got it working and I don't know if it would still work. I wonder if I shipped it to Bee Betu at my own cost would he would restore it for the channel. I would give it to him for free just knowing he respected it enough to get it working again.
