unnecessary to write "breakbeat" as all hardcore in 93-94 was breakbeat

Awesome mix mate, I really enjoyed that, a blend of some absolute classic's plus some I've not heard in decades - you've got some serious skills. What mixer are you using? I vaguely remember a mate of mine having something similar in the '90s while I was still learning on a crappy Gemini 2 channel and belt drives. I like the retro look of it.

Clean mixin' and perfect track selection my bro These days will be with us in our hearts and minds forever. We met new friends, danced like nutters and chatted broken biscuits at the after parties! Respect to anyone who lived through the 90's, worked all week and had it fkin LARGE every weekend from thursday till sunday night 😂 @ 1:32:57 the transition via the finger stop was perfect 😮

I used to mix vinyl in the early 2000's, and went onto playback on DJing software, drum and bass was my thing and easy to mix, house even easier but old rave stuff like this is sometimes tricky, speeds can vary a lot some tune don't mix well together or difficult to get right. Great stuff DJing the old skool way.

Thank you for the mix. It was ok. The trouble with this and hundreds of others online, is that DJ's who have this 'original vinyl only' fascination, are seriously limited to playing the same rinsed, bashed, anthems that we have all heard 10000 times already and are sick to death of hearing. I'd much rather hear other tunes which never get played but are just as good, and in many cases even better. The original vinyl for the rare tunes is either very expensive or in most cases unobtainable, so Serato (or similar) is the only option. This should not be seen as 'inferior' or looked down on though, because every vinyl DJ now, plays through a computer, streaming software, etc, and the audio is digital anyway, so in most cases a good quality digital file sounds much better than some 30+ year old battered vinyl playing through an analogue-to-digital converter. I guess the old myth that mixing with vinyl on turntables is the 'only true way' is still popular. I make this comment as a 55 year old, who started DJ-ing in 1980, and still DJ to this day, playing Oldskool from 89-93 mostly, and never EVER play anthems. This is easy for me to do, as I have collected 38,000 oldskool digital audio tracks over the past 20 years.

Are the random, loud and profane vocal samples that crop up every now and then, part of the genre? if so, that is awesome and inspirational
@djbuckaroo9258
@djbuckaroo9258 8 ай бұрын
Yes, they most definitely are. Hardcore samples everything without prejudice and the more extreme the better. Check out the contrast when ones put against a more commercial sounding track. kzbin.info/www/bejne/gWLPhqusm6mSm9E

@@djbuckaroo9258 Awesome, that went straight to my playlist, and I will blasting that shit later. I thought I had already explored everything that Dutch/Belgian Hardcore had to offer, Early Hardcore or "Gabber" (I know in Netherlands thet don't call it that) Uptempo, Terror, Hardstyle, Frenchcore even Jumpstyle, you name it. I don't know why this exact sub style has gone straight over my head, but anyway thanks Btw do you know of any good online tutorials on how to DJ old school style? With Vinyls and such

@@Will-qx9vm Yeah there's loads of different sub genres. Speedcore is just a catch all for the faster stuff. I don't know of any online tutorials. I learnt how to mix from mates and mimicking other DJ's way before we had the internet.

Great mix mate. May i recommend keeping the channels out the red. Put the faders all the way to the top and use the gain to reduce/increase volume keeping both level. Same with the master channel. Youll get much better control and less distortion
