I love the Contemporary. Brutalist architecture. When they built it, they built each room separately, and then they were lifted by crane and slid into the grid of the hotel. Google will show some pictures. They had planned that each room could be removed for refurbishing over the years, but they didn't count on the building and ground settling so it didn't work.

When you were walking around the Contemporary, I said it looks like the Barbican Centre about 5 minutes before you said it. 😂

The contemporary has always felt like the weirdest resort to me cause it's one of those where it feels like it's for people who want to be on disney property but without disney theming???

I’ve never walked around that area of the contemporary resort, it looks so nice! (though I do understand the cult vibes haha)

When I see you have a vlog up, I get all excited! There are few things as wholesome as your channel. There's also something about Tracey that I find really watchable. I think it's her mannerisms, she is just so Mumsy and sweet, and how is her hair always so fresh? Can I ask are you from Essex? You guys kind of remind me of people I used to know.

In a few months that room will look totally different. Can't wait for the refurb to be completed.

ps - what's your favourite dvc resort? So far we've stayed at Poly, AKL, Saratoga and GF. I was thinking of staying at Baylake tower next but I don't know, you're making me change my mind a bit lol

I agree!! What is it with people liking joffreys? I don't think it's very good either. Although, starbucks coffee is also bad and people love that too. Sounds like you changed your mind though lol.... Maybe I should buy it over there! :)

Enjoy watching your vlogs - don't think I'd stay in this resort though - looks quite bland and I'm thinking if you pay to stay in a Disney resort then you want some theming and atmosphere like Key west, Saratoga, Polynesian, All stars etc, I guess its fine if you are on a paid for conference trip! 😀

Understand why Bay Lake/Contemporary is not your vibe. It’s our vibe and our fav because, love the mid century modern design and decor, love the monorail station at the resort to connect on to the Poli, GF and MK. And easy monorail transfer to Epcot. And love being able to walk to the MK. We always stay at a Bay Lake tower room or Garden Wing room. Both are quieter than main Contemporary building. Sorry Keith. We did join the Contemporary cult. The brain washing mind control sessions weren’t too taxing. You got a free drink coupon after. 😂😂 ❤ to you lovely Cheers Ears!! ❤️🌈

Fishing at Disney was a blast for us. 3 of us fished, while the fourth took pics. Matthew was our guide, and we left from Fort Wilderness. Each of us caught 10 to 12 bass from Bay Lake. He did say he thought the fishing was better in that area other than the boats that go out of Riverside, etc. The guide assists you with whatever you need. Have a Merry Christmas!

Would 100% have a look at (if you haven’t already) and a chat with @itsthedonnellys, regarding your question at the end of this video. They feel like such a similar vibe to your family. Aside from that response.. your focus on joy and making memories is what makes your channel one of my comforts amongst the madness that is life 🫶🏻🧡

Fab vlog. Castaway Cay looked so lovely and the last night seemed very emotional indeed🥲. Wonderful memories of all the new places that you visited. After watching this, I think we may look at a Disney Cruise for next year🛳. Thank you again for sharing and hope you all have a wonderful Christmas🎅. 💖

I loved your roundup at the end of- that’s exactly why I love Disney holidays and now Disney Cruise holidays too. As a single mum, I feel the Disney Cruises are a supportive environment, I even got seated with other single parent families at dinner - which was really thoughtful and added to the experience. I need to try a longer cruise - so will defo look at some of the 7 night ones for our next trip! 😊 Thanks for another great vlog! X

Top vlog again Keith. To me that’s not tipping, your basically covering all their staff costs, a tip is an addition for exceptional service decided by you not Disney.

Ben and David have a video about the history of Castaway Cay. I believe it was owned by some drug lord and the runway was used for drug smuggling - something like that anyway!

How dare you, Cheers Ears Captain Keith, that was indeed "uncalled for," - because watching yous twos get choked up describing your Caribbean cruise holiday got me choked up, too! But simply happy, in between tearing up, that you and Ears Co-Captain Tracey had such a memorable holiday, especially given your previously stated skepticism towards cruising. And I agree that an encore cruise with the Ears family No.1 and 2 included is a holiday vlog we all deserve. Oh, and I can send you my address for that extra tip envelope for Bart, your stateroom captain, lol! Till next time, Bart, of Northwest Indiana

Hi enjoying your vlogs. Don't agree with 30 dollar a day charge for tips. Do they get paid? You said they were great holding a kids hand walking out the resteraunt. They are going to be great . They are gett30 dollars per cabin per day plus they have the cheek to put envelopes in your room for extra tips. Wat a rip off. Wonder if they were not getting tips they would be as nice. Do they get a wage?

Yeah It's a bit of an odd one isn't it. I think the staff are incentivised to be amazing as they are essentially working on tips. I am not sure how I feel about that.

I agree with you two regarding Serenity Bay. It was totally not my vibe either. We couldn't find any available seats and the sea was full of seaweed. We loved the Family Beach area even though we didn't have children with us. Some of our table mates did say that they saw tons of rays at Serenity Bay which would have been cool.

hi keith and Tracey I had a very stressful day yesterday I spent 14 hours at the road because of a group of people that wanted to protested about something and they started to burn wheels so my father and I had to found another route and then when we were about an hour from home a dog run in front of us and my dad couldn´t turn around on time and we hit it and the car was severity damaged and the recovery vehicle took ages to arrive and they had awful service lost story short I went to bed today at 2 am watching you guys having fun cheered me up 🎋

Loved this vlog. I lived in Jamaica for a year just before the island’s independence in 1962 when I was 8 and my dad was posted there with the British army. Things have obviously changed but the views beautiful. The entertainment on the Disney ship looks fun. I have been a bit put off sailing with them as we don’t have young kids any more so interested in your vlogs showing the adult side of their ships
