No offense, but Rowling is a questionable source. She has a tendency to say stuff that contradicts whats in the books and movies. Point in case, James Potter's award in the movie clearly states "seeker" on it, if this wasn't the case, Rowling would have corrected it.

All evidence pointed to James being a seeker. JK Rowling has a bad habit of retroactively changing things. If Durmstrang is Scandinavian it should translate from one of the Scandinavian languages... right... right? So I typed it into Google translate. Under detect language it just says durmstrang means durmstrang. I switched to translate from Danish. Google says it translated from Vietnamese and that it means dumbass. Now I'm wondering if this is a one time glitch or if they actually programmed it to do that? LOL

I never liked Severus, he is a terrible teacher, we see this very clearly when his position is taken over by Horrace. Horrace, despite his faults, was a much better teacher, he never bullied or humiliated students who were less fortunate, he was fair in this respect. I don't understand why fans like him so much.

For me, Luna and Nevil are together. JKR gives interviews and introduces information that is not in the books, this is one of them. Cutting out Peeves The poltergeist and definitely cutting out Dobby from the films when he was in the books was very much NOT a good idea.

The Harry Potter Books are 100% better then the movies except for the first movie which I loved because it brought to life the story and they mostly kept with the books except for the ending of Harry Potter and the Philosopher Stone AKA The Sorcerer's Stone. I will always charge the first movie because you brought to life the first book and the whole wizarding idea.

I wonder if Dumbledore was always trying to kill Harry, and the Horcrux within him.. Look at his record: Employed Quirrel and allowed Harry the means to meet him both in the Dark forrest on detenton with Hagrid, and with the Mirror of Erised. Allowed him access to the Chamber of secrets, did he not know the ledgends about the Basilisk and see the same clues Hermione found? He took him to the cave to get Slytherin's locket, should he not have taken a qualified auror or Snape? Allowed the triwizard tornament to continue, with no investigation. Snape was able to kill Dumbledore quite easily, perhaps Snape knew he had been trying to kill Harry all along, so was able to "Really mean it" with his killing curse. Bearing in mind Dumbledore had access to the Elder wand the resurection stone, the philosophers stone , the invisibility cloke, and the sword of Griffindor etc

My favorite theme in the books was left out of the movies. In book 7, when Harry and Luna infiltrate Ravenclaw tower one of the character siblings gets done after they made the cult of Voldemort their sibling tries to get in, but it’s too stupid to break the code, so Minerva helps him When he sees that his sister is on the ground. He panics and says that they’ll blame her fake call to Voldemort on the children upstairs, but Minerva says absolutely not. I will not allow you to blame your idiocy on the children of Hogwarts at that the brother spits on her, so Harry, who is under the invisibility cloak, whips it off and says you shouldn’t have done that and does the torch curse on him Minerva, who didn’t know that Harry was there and says Harry, you shouldn’t have done that, but Harry just says, but he spat at you

Hagrid didn't save Harry and Ron. It was Wesley's blue Ford Anglia car that did it. Hagrid was on the way to Azkaban when it happened.

no mention of Dean Thomas' deleted subplot? Dean was raised by muggles but his biological father was a wizard. this is mentioned in book 7 but there was originally supposed to be a subplot in book 2 of him finding this out

Would you consider putting them in order by book? I think that might help some new fans follow along.

I disagree about the fate of the elder wand. I thought when I read the book that putting the deathstick back in Dumbledore's tomb was way too risky for an artifact with such a violent history. I think breaking it (and you can't mend a broken wand) and separating the pieces was the surest means of "ending its story."

I know a lot of storylines had to be adapted and changed to appear on screen, but I agree with every single point you make. It would have taken an extra 5 minutes of footage to explain some plot holes and 5 minutes fewer to cut the excessively long dragon fight to name just two. Brilliant video. I’ve been arguing about these points for years. I sincerely hope they fix all this in the HBO tv series.

This was the true reason behind the Goblin Rebellions. The sword of Gryffindor was merely a tipping point, much as tea was the tipping point for the American Revolution. I have another theory, that humans originally obtained magic by goblins mixing with muggles.

JK Rowling already said that the horcrux or the soul the partial soul of Tom Riddle Voldemort did not make anyone or affect anyone more aggressive angry or evil. Harry spent years at Hogwarts 6 years and not a single person wizard muggle was affected by it. The Dursleys were just pure evil and hatred stop trying to give them an out they deserve to be in prison

The treatment or I should say mistreatment to the extreme to Harry Potter by his aunt and uncle has nothing whatsoever to do with the horcrux in his soul. JK Rowling said this was untrue and they they were just awful people. Furthermore no one else whatsoever was affected negatively by Harry Potter in school and anywhere else he went. However the Slytherin locket necklace that did carry a horcrox while they were at the Dean forest location affected Harry, Ron and Hermione greatly when they carried it with them.

Aside from the first Harry Potter movie based on the first book I love the books so much better than any of the movies book two through book seven!!! Movies number 2 through 8 did not compare to the books themselves

Why is this speculation done? Because in the second book right after “Donny’s Warning” & in the film, Harry’s warning letter from the Ministry about the breach is sent by Mafalda Hopkirk, who is again referred to in The Deathly Hallows, when the 3 break into the Ministry using Polyjuice Potion. I prefer not to go through all the “what if’s” especially seeing as JK Rowling’s shape shitting Boggart has burst out of the closet.
