Again...psychologist. If you're a trained and experienced combat veteran, once a firefight/mission/task begins, you have a tendency to run on automatic. If there is a clear break off point, you could take it, and John does on occasion. But these films, especially John Wick 4, the action is pretty much non-stop. The most unbelievable thing is how a non-android enhance human being could just keep going before running out of steam. I mean he gets hit by about seven cars!. Just rolling down those stairs at the end would probably take out most normal people. You keep going until you can't...and the bad guys just keep coming and they aren't resting for a breather.

The psychologist may be right in general regarding "revenge" but I think she's neglectful of the elephant in the room. John Wick spent a major and deep portion of his life training to be, becoming and excelling at ... assassination. It was the love of his wife that got him away from that life. After the props on that change got kicked out by her death and the loss of her living gift to him of that innocent puppy, where else could he go but regressing to what he has always known and done? His adversaries removed all the barriers he had built. After the first film, John is initially really trying to reestablish his break with that life but he is forced back in early in the second film. After that, it's all been self defense. In that world the only options are to fight or put a bullet in your own head.

I don't mind Lady Gaga but she didn't act or sang well in A Star is Born, so I waited to see what the reviews were like for this one I'm glad I didn't waste my money. I really like the first movie, I can't believe they screwed with this one.
