New emerging category: “If AI was used heavily or not”
@tueferbenz74928 ай бұрын
I think the decline in polarization is due to streaming. Paying for a monthly subscription means there's no additional cost to checking out a movie one wouldn't normally see due to genre or some other factor, so it has the effects of broadening tastes. The same with music due to Soundcloud and the like; because of the endless buffet of different artists subculture/demography is less closely tied to particular genres than it used to be.
@NaturalAegyo8 ай бұрын
On the contrary, I think what's being made is so much less specific to avoid financial risk that less things are being made to hit topics outside of the mainstream. Making the films palatable to a wider range of existing tastes isn't any commentary on the viewers themselves. Big big office failures these days are due to the lack of effort to cater to genre specific fan expectations or consumer feedback.

You built your whole argument around genre being the reason for decisiveness, but don't back up your claim. I think it's much more interesting than that. Remember the Netflix prize? Programmers competed to create the most predictive recommender system based on a large set of movie votes and demographic data. Most recommendations were easy, but the few that defied all efforts were the most interesting. And one movie topped them all: Napoleon Dynamite. No matter how much information you are given about a person and their movie tastes, there was simply no way to predict how they'd feel about the movie. Polarized for no apparent reason. There's your video concept.

I think the Last Jedi was so Polarizing / divisive that it kind was the turning ponit of the Disney Star Wars, and even lead to a similar amount of division in Marvel years later.
@justqueennothighqueen388 ай бұрын
I'm glad to see Babe: Pig in the City on the list of most divisive movies, because I couldn't get past the first act years ago because it was so bad, and yet it got good critical reviews. This is encouraging because I'm glad someone else hated it.

U guys should spend more money on a new AI program bcs this was almost so random, or it took only 1 movie title who got the most comments 👀 pfff. Did the program heard about this movies: Napoleon Dynamite, Bad Santa, Old Boy, The Grudge, Tha Cabin In The Woods, History Of The World or the movies based on other books & comics that Disney didn't got them or made them a franchise like Hellboy, Dredd or gaming & cartoon film adaptation beside Transformers they are so many, man just dig a little deeper but thank you for doing at least OK on this video! ✌️😑🔪⏪
