No way! 8490L was just purchased by my parter and I! I plan on doing my seaplane rating and instrument rating in it this summer.

Hi, There is a question I am really afraid of for my interview, I had a forced landing incident on a single engline during my hr building but its outcome was as good as it can be I handled the emergency really well and according to my records on the license their is no accident or incident. if the question comes up during the interview did u ever have any emergency during ur training, how should I tackle this question? i am afraid the interviewer might think mabey it was my fault the engine gave up on me for not handling the engine properly even though that was not the case and it was a pure mechanical issue for which I could have done nothing. looking forward to ur reply

There will be some "Tell me about a time questions where this could come up." However, you can frame the answer any way you like. All pilots face issues and there is never a perfect flight. From how you tell this story, this will be a great example of how you handled a very difficult situation. Even a time when you made a mistake and learned from it are good responses.

In the initial clearance delivery, I thought I heard the controller say "on departure climb maintain three thousand, expect six thousand one zero minutes after departure" but the pilot responded "expect six thousand one minute". Maybe confirming the readback was a controller oversight?

I don't like the way people act that become Pilots. Because it's a blue collar trade very similar to truck driving because they use log books and they both have to have a medical card . But these people walk around like they've got a 25-year degree from harvard. They try to act up and I don't like the fact that they hire a bunch of women. It's a blue collar trade like truck driving and I like when truck drivers transition over because the personalities are so much more to adapt to

Fun eh? Something I've noticed: every single instructor says stick full back until the nose won't rise any higher (second rise) and only then relax back pressure or push it over. I found pretty early on that this makes the takeoff longer than it needs to be. Try this: stick back (or if calm, neutral), full throttle, once spray into the prop no longer an issue, neutral stick. The nose will rise and the floats will climb over the hump all on their own, sometimes a bit of forward stick needed to help onto the step. Forcing the heels into the water with back pressure just extends the run. Very new to this myself(180 water takeoffs and landings) so still lots to learn though!

1500 hours to fly a King air?! 🤣
@ElPhyl
@ElPhyl 2 жыл бұрын
This 1500 hour thing is annoying…. In Europe and Asia , each airline can determine what hours they want, there is no exact figure… emirates is 2000 , BA regional airline 500 etc… but for u.s 1500… am just gonna do a part 135 and get out. I could be a captain outside the United States within that 2 years without instructing students in some flight school for 1500 to get to regions . Anyway am off
@gordo1163
@gordo1163 2 жыл бұрын
However your pay tanks. Compare regional airlines pay as of sept 22 to other airlines of Canada and Europe and you will understand why he 1500 hr rule is so substanyial.

I see what you mean. I can’t stand women who only want to complain about how hard it is for them. When they get special treatment and they always demand more because some guy said something. Most women aren’t like that. But a handful of them are and it’s annoying. Most of the talking heads are like that though.
