40 minutes in, not scary yet.... 🤔

It was a good film, as good as some of the films made with a big budget, but not particularly scary and kind of predictable.

I love how grounded this is. Tapping, Knocking, things disappearing, unexplained smells, scratching, potergeists... this has been phenomena experienced by millions of people worldwide and documented. The concepts behind this is also very sound and has occurred on numerous cases I've researched. The activity is problaly because of the doll being cursed.

This was the scariest real/fake depiction of a haunting I've ever watched...being that it was filmed like it was a home recording made it that much more terrifying...people who don't believe I feel sorry for....and at the ending when it showed its true strength....I haven't had something literally frighten me like that in a very long time...after I finished watching it, I decided then I shouldn't have watched it...this one could be a nightmare inducer...seriously. 😢

So, the sub plot is that there is a sexual attraction between these two guys and they push away from this attraction, thus the notable friction between the two of them. The attraction is almost palpable!!! Yeah

Very effective. Didn’t overstay its welcome, let the imagination do the work and didn’t feature overacting.

I relate to it bc it's not any fancy well known actors, it could literally happen to anyone of us, that is why you must invite Jesus Christ into your life and home, only he can keep you safe

Well...despite everyone's enthusiasm I didn't like it. Not at all. Didn't scared me not even a bit and felt very lame and slow. I don't need nor like cheap jump scares and enjoyed a lot flicks like the Hell House (first 2), and Blair Witch project and in my humble opinion this one falls behind.

Well worth watching. A24 should float you a budget so that way they won't be involved in talking hands and sex dummies walking around playing tag.

Excuse me, but this is maybe the worst "horror" movie I've ever seen...and I've seen loads of them. Awful sound (I could hardly hear what they were saying), awful camera work, inexistent plot (so what went on, did anyone understand ???),bad acting... actually the doll gave the best performance of all. Waste of time, really.

The first time I watched this movie I thought it was a bit slow but it had a suspenseful quality that I just couldnt stop watching. But then the end scared the fuck out me. And then when you realize that the scent, the voices are demons in hell and the kids that went missing were tsken by the demon to hell. Fucking pretty scary good movie.

Very disappointed in this. Kept waiting for something scary to happen, it never did.

I love these kinds of movies. You did a fantastic job all around. MORE, PLEASE!!

I thought I'd give this a shot after reading the high praise comments and because I'm a die hard horror fan and needed some nightmare fuel. Now this is jmo okay. But from my perspective I'm but 10 or so minutes in and already I'm bored. The main characters are in no way engaging. The 'typical female' comment got me riled and it was just so lacklustre and dull. Now, maybe I should give it more time but tbh the main players need to have something about them. A little dry humour, the odd eccentricity, engaging character but there's nothing and for me personally, if I dont feel any sort of attachment to the main players for whatever reason then my interest just face-plants the ground from a great height. Please don't see this as anything other than constructive criticism and like i said this is my personal take on it. I'm just saying that for a horror aficionado like myself, this falls at the first hurdle.

Just being jumpy, acting scared and talking about things that aren't happening isn't scary.

Is it just me or have we not seen that kitchen in another video before of a man and his wife having paranormal activity in that kitchen, it's the same kitchen,, this is either a "production" or somebody else lived in the same house???? I've seen that kitchen in other videos yall,,, just a heads up in your "belief" of this!!!! Now, "IF" it's real, understand there is no such thing as "the ghost of grandma" that's came to visit, there is however demonic spirits called, "FAMILIAR SPIRITS", and I assure you they are not your friends or family, their not there to comfort the broken hearted, they are their to harm, to frighten, and possibly kill, or cause a person to kill themselves,, playing games with them or welcoming them is the stupidest thing a person could ever do,, if this is real this lady clearly said SHES NOT A BELIEVER OF GOD,, she should have never voiced that "OUT LOUD", especially having a CHILD IN IT,, how stupidly dangerous that statement was,, now Mam you've just opened your home all the way up to demonic spirits,, my advice is to take you and your child away from the home,, get your souls saved, find Jesus,,,, where the HOLY SPIRIT IS,, SATAN AND HIS DEMONS CANT BE!

Great job picking the location. The interior of that house / lighting / furniture arrangement/ decor or lack thereof was perfect. Kubrick-esqe even. I would not spend one night in there!
