Wow, now they look easy, but we'll see tomorrow what I come up with. I want to make pendant and then reduce the size and make earrings. Wish I could show you what I make. I'm sure to have fun. Thanks for Sharing

You are incredibly creative and talented! I cannot believe, even after watching you do it, that you could make something this beautiful out of polymer clay. Do you always work with a plain gray clay and color it with paints? I guess I'll have to watch videos and find out! I have a set of different colored polymer clays that I got as a gift and I've been trying to come up with ideas on how to use those different colors. I'm interested in making earrings and possibly pendants, maybe even fridge magnets. So, I'll stay tuned. Thanks for posting your helpful tutorials, appreciate your time.
@laurajschiller15 күн бұрын
Thank you for your kind compliment Miss Deb!… I don’t always work with just gray clay. I will sometimes use my color clay as well… This said, though, when it comes to Freeform sculpting of sculpting in general, I don’t mind taking all my colored clays and mixing them all together to get mud… This mud can then be used to create sculpture of any kind. I then bake it and then bring out the paints and have a whole ton of fun! As you can tell here when I did the dolphins, it was an absolute blast for me! I thoroughly enjoyed myself! And when it comes to jewelry and creating pendants and earrings and even broaches now… You can definitely do so with the sculpture type idea in mind. Again, thank you for your absolutely kind and thoughtful comment. Sending you my biggest hugs your way!🤗❤️👍🏻

Hey Miss Ginny!… Thank you for your kind compliment to my work! I am so thrilled you love what I create!… Now the chains themselves I get at my local craft stores. I think they look amazing but I do worry if the glue will hold when wearing them. Also if you wear your hair up the plain back of the earrings will show. Still hoping that you will make Chinese whimsical dog and answer my question about fan ovens, apologies if you have but I’ve not read it. Always look forward to seeing your next tutorial. X
@laurajschiller28 күн бұрын
Thank you so much, Miss Lisa! When it comes to the glue, I would say wherever you can I definitely recommend doing the liquid clay to clay idea, howeverwith this said, anytime you add in any kind of painted piece and especially if it’s painted on one side and then you’re just gonna be connecting into the clay it’s not going to matter if you use the liquid clay it’s just best to use the superglue or if you want to you can use an even stronger glue like E 6000 so long as you do not rebake it again. As to the plane backing of the earring itself, you can always do another cutter form and then place that on the backside or even doctor it up with some kind of beautiful painted pattern on the back and make that a totally different design all on its own… Me showing you what I do here is just an option, you can doctor this and make this your own and make it better than what I’ve got shown here. So have it use that imagination and enjoy the clay! When it comes to the fan ovens, I might’ve answered your comment. I try to make sure I answer all my comments here on my channel. If I didn’t, I apologize for that… as to the Fan ovens. I’m guessing you probably asked maybe if to use one or not use one I recommend using a oven that has a fan in it because this way then the fan acts as a element that spreads the heat around on the clay and where you do not get intense heat on that clay piece where it might burn. This is why I like the convection oven with the fan element in it and why I do not like toaster ovens because the heat is so intense, and the toaster ovens have a tendency to have the heating elements way too close to the clay so burning the clay is a lot more likely. As to the Chinese whimsical dog, I will have to look into that more part of this is trying to figure out how to approach an animal. What a simple shapes go into creating that animal all on its own… So don’t give up hope on me there is so much more to come for me here on my channel. I hope you will continue to enjoy what I put forward and as always, sending you my biggest of big hugs your way!😂❤️👍🏻

LOVE these pieces. So inspiring. One quick question. I have watched other PC videos where the artist used Posca pens and said that the paint had to be heat set in the oven again. Have you found this to be the case? TIA.
@laurajschillerАй бұрын
I am so thrilled that you loved these pieces!… And as to your question, I’ve never really had any kind of problem with it… But then, I always varnish over my Posca painted pieces. Never had any trouble with it. I might try that though, where I paint a piece and then fire it and see if the paint stays on after I have fired the overall piece. However I do find that no matter what anytime you use paint you really need to seal it and especially with jewelry. I think you really need to varnish over if you can. The only other way you can get around this and this really only applies to colored clay is sanding and buffing and then that’s a whole Other different process. I do hope this answers your question… And thank you again, for your kind compliment. Sending my big hugs your way!🤗❤️👍🏻
