POLYMER CLAY ZENTANGLE STYLED CLAY CANE & JEWELRY TUTORIAL: THE DEX CANES...

This Zentangle Styled polymer clay cane, the Dex Cane is a blast to create!! I show you how I put this together, reduce it, in the standard black and white giving you the original pattern but also a number of different patterns you can create! Plus I take one of those patterns and use it to get a wonderful set of jewelry!! Just WOW!!! Another new, fun and exciting polymer clay cane/s to sit down and create!! I start to focus in on the original look to this pattern, at the beginning, but as you know… it always seems to go off the rails from there!! LOLOL!! So, I hope you will CHECK THIS ONE OUT!!

I really enjoyed watching you with this. Very clever ideas. Now if you could teach me how to reduce my canes successfully I’d love it. You’ve already helped me accomplish making a decent flower. Not as good as yours but working on it. Thank you for sharing.

Oh, wow!! Well, thank you for your huge compliment on how well my videos are helping you in polymer clay!! Bless you!! As to the reducing thing...part of this is practice....just like playing piano...the more you practice the better you will become. The best way I remember it is...1. even pressure all the way around your cane to get it started in reducing it. 2. Once started, roll against the surface of your tile, using the backend of your hand, not the finger area...too bumpy there. 3. the smaller the cane gets you can use your front part of your fingers for the detailed control of the reduction if it is bumpy in areas.....Maybe this might help.
