What everyone is missing is 1. the domesticated horses communicated with the wild ones that they 2.should follow them and they will be safe. 3 the wild horses didn't get on any man made vehicle. 4. They also didn't know that they wouldn't die if they got into the water. It's not about the ladies, and if it was otherwise it would not have been about men. It's the horses communicating with each other.

I've seen this video countless times...gets to me each time. So inspiring. Such brave women and their mounts, and the rescued horses too. Watch that brave foal about min 5:40. He plunged into the deep water, swam, and got out, cantered ahead of the bigger horses. Such will to survive.

This was great to watch women shaving over a hundred horses something that I'm not sexist or anything but men didn't even come up with or did I don't think but I'm sure those horses are very grateful

Can't believe those horses just stayed there. The water wasn't even deep enough to swim. Land wasn't far at all.

@brendamagee81236 жыл бұрын
Cambteach if 15-18 had previously died & if they had no “leader” & if they were frightened (I could go on & on), then they were stuck, especially if the water rose again. YOU, too, would be “stuck” under those conditions. Fear immobilizes without a fearless leader. ♥️🇨🇦🇺🇸 🇮🇶

I remember it, saved from the water, and most of them straight to the slaughterhouse, still I love horse meat it's better than water filled beef or pork.

@gilliangirl19 жыл бұрын
This is wonderful, but don't people in the Netherlands EAT horse meat? Is that why they rescued them, so that they could turn them out on a dinner plate??!
@-aperfectcirclec98519 жыл бұрын
Perhaps people do eat horse meat there, but the thing that makes your assumption unlikely, is the women who rescued these horses, own their own horses, and by the looks of these horses from a distance, they seem to look of a healthy weight and their owners have great herding skills, so these women /must/ have experience with horses, and do /not/ eat them. I believe the women cared for the stuck horses safety and decided to rescue them off the stranded island before any more of them were swept away by the water. c:
@gilliangirl19 жыл бұрын
-APerfectCircle c: I don't mean that the women rescuers eat horsemeat, I mean that all these horses had to go somewhere once they were rescued. What happened to them? Auction? Slaughterplant? Were they adopted out? Or were they left to wander free? It is entirely possible that some of them ended up on a dinner plate. :(
@maflingermira12728 жыл бұрын
+gilliangirl1 some were adopted, some weren't, but people also eat steak.. it's also an animal, in other lands people eat Guinea pigs.. also, most Dutch people DON"T want to eat horse meat and products including horse meat.. I mean if you're going to make this kind of comments, make sure you know your facts right AND are vegatarian, a horse is just like a cow, just like a Guinea pig, just like a regular pig: an animal
@christinaolsen3758 жыл бұрын
+gilliangirl1 Theres nothing wrong with eating horses, we also eat it in Denmark. Mostly the meat is coming from injured horses, broken legs that cant be fixed etc. Just because we eat horses, dosn mean we wouldnt helped them, if they get in trouble like here. And lets say they were only saved to be eaten, it would most certainly be a better solution then drowning, or starve to death on that Island. They would be humanly put Down if they were to be eaten.
