Why would turtles develop shells without predators strong enough to break their shells? This would be a huge waste. There should be such predators in the ecosystem you create so that the evolution of turtles can be triggered in this direction.

Absolutely adore how interesting sexual dimorphism can be and i love the unique portrayal of it in the Nohu since quite a few species with such levels of it have the reverse in which the females are the much larger ones(i.e. many anglerfish, spiders, and really actually quite a lot of animals), especially since it actually makes sense for the dimorphism being as it is. Between that and my weak spot animals get absolutely massive and become a mini ecosystem as a result, so definitely my favorite species so far!

If the male Nohu get any bigger the female may be able to start laying their eggs on the males back

7:17 In real life, almost all turtles are matriarchal and dominated by the females. Females of most species are three times the size of their male counterparts. This is a recurring pattern. Why did you reverse this, and how was it reversed?
@KappatheWorldofTurtles-tm6zb18 сағат бұрын
alligator snapping turtles are one of the few turtle species where the male is actually bigger! They can weigh almost double :) it’s also for the logistics of egg-laying for these guys

The Nohu is very cool. It's a little odd to me that the males are herbivorous grazers and the females predators. The idea of aquatic plants thriving on the underside of the males is interesting. Perhaps a specialised plant could grow there as a mutalistic relationship, providing a source of food for females (if they were also herbivorous) and acting like peacock feathers as a way for larger males to show off and attract mates. That's just my take though. This series is awesome! It's so relaxing and interesting to watch. The artwork and narration are great and It's just a really nice vibe.

This is the most stunning piece of art I’ve ever seen. You have no idea how I’ve dreamed of a deep down analysis in a swamp like ecosystem, especially with such detail. You fulfilled the most heart full interest I have. I admire your work and hope you can expand even more such astonishing world

I know there's already several hundred comments saying it, but I feel the need to add to the pile of praise. By the gods I don't think there is a specevo project I love more than Kappa. Even old reigns like Serina, as good as they are, simple are dwarfed by the beauty you put into Kappa. I love this world, I love your project, your art, your ideas. You make Kappa feel so alive and even if I had to wait years between videos I would do so with a smile on my face to see this place again.
