The fact that Whisper herself was the one who recruited Mimic makes her situation all the more painful, because we now know EXACTLY what Whisper has been thinking all this time since the betrayal. Whisper: _I introduce Mimic to my friends. + Mimic helps Eggman kill my friends. = I killed my friends!_

Seeing a truly happy and excitable Whisper is one of the most hardest things to watch and even if we know what happend back in the tangle and whisper miniseries but seeing how the diamond cutters really meant for her. No wonder Whisper bonded so quickly with Tangle. Whisper saw in Tangle was what she was long ago a person who just wants to have fun and gets excited when something interesting happens. And seeing Whisper eyes alone shows how different she was in the past. Man Whisper suffered so much

This was a very interesting Annual and i will look forward to see what these Stories will mean for the Main Story. Honestly, the idea of Surge and Kit separating at some point, going on different paths from each other, is a thought I’ve been having since Issue #67, entirely due to the overall vibe i got from both of them in that Issue, i wonder if we’ll get Surge vs Kitsunami at some point? Now that certainly could be a rather heartbreaking Fight for sure, that could effect both of them in major ways. As for the Mimic Story, i think you and i got very different interpretations of it, because i didn’t get the impression that Mimic fully knows who he is, but rather that he likes to tell himself that he does and doesn’t want to even consider the thought that me might not know himself as well as he thinks, but that could just be my interpretation. By the way, I have really been pretty stuck on my idea of Surge being the one to take down Mimic once and fall instead of Whisper lately, i wonder if it would be a good idea or if it would be unsatisfying due to Whisper not being the to do it. Also, I have been wondering, do any of you think it would be possible for Surge to lobotomies Mimic to the point that his no longer able to shapeshift anymore, basically sealing his abilities away entirely, with her Electricity by having her hands directly on his Head? If that would be possible, i wonder how that would effect Mimic, to not be able to Shapeshift anymore?

The tv tropes say that Whisper was just as responsible as Lanolin for Mimic getting as far as he did because Whisper's 'poor planning' got Mimic moved into Jewel's office, furthering Clutch's scheme. well, I say codswallop to that. First of all, because of Whisper and Silver's actions, Clutch hired Surge and Kit not only as extra muscle, but also to distract everyone from Mimic, but that ended up backfiring because they as good as enabled Mimic's expulsion instead, so, in the long run, Whisper actually DID do go. plus, perhaps Jewel didn't hire Duo to help in her office out of pity, hence her suspicious stare of him in issue 70, but because she believed in Whisper's claims out of friendship and actually hired him there to keep an eye on him and test him, and Mimic was so confident in believing that he was in control and so eager to take down Whisper that he never suspected that it was all too good to be true

I have to admit, I really LIKE Bubble Whisper. a shame Mimic destroyed that. hed better get his TRUE comeuppance in the following arc

I wanna punch that mobian who said Surge wasn’t Sonic… Surge and Kit are awesome and are trying their best to change their ways to be better since Starline manipulated them. I love how adorable Surge looked when she was getting her first praises as a hero. I do feel bad for Kit tho…he’s still a little warped about what he should and should not do. Hope for the best for the small bean. Mimic is also starting to make me hate him more. At least Lanolin FINALLY saw how he is. She’s got a looooooooot of apologizing to do.

Now that Mimic has been well and truly exposed, Lanolin has seen how ignorant and wrong she was, Whisper's confidence in herself will be restored and Silver will be cleared, here's a version of what I think should happen next: Silver: so he WAS Mimic, and I DIDN'T hurt him? I didn't mess up AFTER ALL? Tangle: actually, you still...kinda did...with the whole... Whisper: I was right. that means..(smiles) I didn't make a mistake. I didn't imagine Duo tripping Silver and causing that avalanche, and I DID get the right guy. which means I NOT out of control, and I DIDN'T hurt an innocent life. I didn't hurt him at all. I....(face turns to shock)I had him. I KNEW it was Mimic, I KNEW I wasn't seeing things, I HAD him, and I let him him go. I could've stopped him, but I let him go, all because I DOUBTED myself. I thought I made a mistake, I though I mislead Silver and hurt and innocent life, because I thought I KNEW Mimic. I could've stopped him, I could've prevented this from happening, but I didn't stop him, I hesitated, I doubt myself and I let him go. I said I wouldn't let his poison get to me, but I DID. I let him TRICK me. All this blamed myself for hurting an innocent life and couldn't trust myself, and it turned out I blamed myself for nothing and I let him go (grunts) and worst of all, I as good as turned my back on Silver Tangle: and so did I. but stop beating yourself up Whisper, I get the bad point, but there's a GOOD point too. you got the right guy because you...are...a GOOD detective, and you have GOOD instincts. I was that that little bit of doubt, that thinking, the over-thinking is where you really went wrong. so things didn't go well and you ended up doubting yourself. the point is you...got...it...right Whisper: (sighs) but still, I should've believed in my gut, I should've persisted in the face of doubt, and I should've used my imagination. and it's still PARTLY my fault Silver got into trouble and Mimic got one step closer, because I didn't think it through Silver: no, Whisper, that was MY fault. Your plan was great, you had it figured out, I messed it up. You told me to be patient, but I wanted it done straight away. If I hadn't had done that, if I had been more patient, I wouldn't have made myself and you look bad and Mimic wouldn't have had the opportunity to pull that gambit and make me and you look bad. I messed up and brought Mimic one step closer Whisper: (sighs) Silver, I am so sorry. I was your guardian angel, and I as good as let you down. I can't believe I doubted myself (looks at at Lanolin angrily) and I can't believe I listened to YOU (Lanolin is taken aback) Whisper: I told you Duo was Mimic, I told you you should've let us prove it, but you didn't. you didn't even give us a chance to because you were blinded by your own stubbornness and hubris. If you had gone through with it more sensibly and within protocol Whisper: Protocol can only do so much, and given how you were acting, would you REALLY have listened to us. I don't think so. you rely only on evidence, and without it, you wouldn't have listened to us weather we acted that way or not. and worst of all, you were completely unsympathetic with Silver AND me, and were UNFAIR with his banishment by wanting to get him banned without due process and by making Tangle's decision for her...by intimidating her, and after all your talk about due process. You're as much to blame for it as I am...maybe even more.... Lanolin: I.....I.....(sniffs) Whisper: (calms down) and yet...I still pity you....because you were tricked, and because in the long run you wanted what you thought was best for the restoration, and because of what happened to you when your village was attacked Tangle: Whisper's not wrong Lanolin. sure, guys like me, Sonic, we act without thinking, but at least we TRY and do the right thing. EVERYONE had their own way of doing things Lanolin, YOU need to respect or at least tolerate that and cut them slack, instead of being harsh and shallow, expecting things to orderly. NOTHING ever goes orderly all the time. NOTHING is absolute. I believed in you Lanolin, I even encouraged you when you were at your lowest , and I was reluctant to speak up when you made those bad calls because I believed in you, and because I was scared of you when you decided to kick Silver out. I should've had more backbone, I should've told you what you were doing, but I didn't because of my blind faith in you. You made us feel that we were the problem, because we weren't living up to YOUR standards, but now I see that YOUR opinions then didn't matter, because WE did the best that we could and they were of Shallow interests, and even you yourself fooled yourself into believing otherwise. YOU escalated that fight when you threw down Whisper, YOU banned Silver and then team Sonic without even giving them due process or actually investigating, YOU broke that track, endangering many lives, and YOU almost abandoned innocent lives when you chose your obsession with the Phantom Rider over them. You called Whisper out of control when she and Silver a move on Duo and accused US of letting our feelings and trust in Sonic blind us and protecting a dangerous criminal, well, it looks like the wool was on the other sheep. but I also pity you Lanolin...for the same reason as Whisper. I'm STILL sorry for having to keep you in the dark, but given your attitude and how you reacted when you found out Sonic's identity Lanolin: (starts crying) you're right. Not that I approve of your methods, but on the whole it's been MY fault. I had had just listened to you...I have have just trusted you....If I had just stopped to think and not solely relied on evidence....things would've gone better, and you and team Sonic wouldn't have had to. I always believed that doing the cautious and orderly thing was the right thing and that we shoudl avoid Chaos no matter what, but.... Silver: being orderly can be as bad as being chaotic Lanolin, and you need to balance chaos with order, not get rid of it, because freedom is just as important as security Lanolin: and just because people do things chaotically, doesn't mean that they're bad or out of control. In the end, I lost myself, When my village got attacked...I felt helpless...and powerless. I never wanted to feel that way again, and I never wanted anyone else to feel that way ever again, So I tried to do whatever it took to maintain order, but in doing so, I lost myself, and I became exactly what I accused everyone else of being, but I was too stubborn to realise it. I see now. A leader doesn't just give orders and expects them to listen to him or her, he also LISTEN to his or her teammates, even if it disagree with him or her. In the end, I was no better than Starline. I enabled the destruction of Restoration HQ. (closes her eyes in shame) what have I done (Tangle, Whisper and Silver look at Lanolin in pity) Silver: (goes over to Lanolin) Just so you know.....I forgive you
